Wew! Finally! I’m done with every requirements that the daycare needs. My X-ray is clear, physical exam is great! Paperwork submitted and I just had a meeting with the director and we went through the rules and guidelines of the daycare, etc. The best part is, I get to start on October 26. Yay! Can’t wait.

Positive
Oh no! My physical exam was okay, but my tb skin test is positive! Darn it! The doctor said that, that doesn’t mean I have an active tuberculosis. It’s just that most people born outside the United States, like Asians, may have had a vaccine called BCG, which can have a test result to a false-positive. She just asked me to have a chest X-ray. If that’s clear, then I’m good. I know I’m okay, but it still bothers me. Off to have an X-ray then. Later!

Hired?
Well, well, well! I’m seeing a little light at the end of this tiny little tunnel J After I’ve met with the director the other day she asked me to get biometrics (needed to be fingerprinted as one of their requirements) and get my physical exam. She said, “You need to hurry up and be fingerprinted today coz they are only open every Fridays”. I guess I’m hired huh? J Yippeee!!! Unless something comes up with my biometrics lol She even asked me if there’s some people looking for me (e.g. police, fbi, etc) I told her no one is looking for me except for my mother whom I have not called in a very long time and she laughed lol. So, I was fingerprinted the other day. Will be waiting for the result and she will call me again.

I Knew It!
I knew I would get a response sooner than I think. I am talking about job. A few days ago, I called the daycare that my son used to go to and I used to volunteer. I talked to the manager, who happens to be the owner’s daughter. I asked her if they are hiring at this time. She said that they are not. Got a little frustrated but I had hopes coz she asked me to come in and submit my resume. Then today, I got a call from one of the directors and asked me if I could stop by for an interview! Yay! Let’s see what’s gonna happen.

I Will Find One!
So here’s the deal with my job hunting. I sent my resume to several job opportunities and haven’t heard from any one of them just yet. I guess, my resume is not that impressive even though I have solid work experience. It has been almost 10 years since I had been in the workforce. Although I have been working at home since 2006, I guess to them that doesn’t count. Ouch! Oh well, I will find one soon. I can feel it :)

Looking For A Job
Yep! I am looking for a job now. Started browsing the web for job opportunities and started updating my resume. I am hoping to land a job that I am truly qualified and good at. Administrative jobs that is. I miss working in an office. However, if I cannot find one, any job will do for right now. I’m a fast learner anyway, so it won’t be a problem. :-) Crossing my fingers!

Badly Need An Update
Wow! This blog sure need an update. Well, I might be able to do that when I start to get used to my new schedule. My son just started kindergarten so I'm a little excited, but surreal as I'm not used to our house being quiet early in the morning. :) I'm still not used to not hearing him call "mommy!!!" every five minutes :) Maybe this Monday I will be able to concentrate in updating this blog. Will post some pictures that I haven't had the chance to transfer in my hard drive yet and hopefully I can post it here as well. So, till then! :) Thanks for those who have visited me while I was in my hibernation stage :) Will do the favor as soon as I get the chance. Take care all!

Still Addicted
I thought I got over my Ranch Rush addiction. However, I realized that I still wasn't coz today I started playing again and couldn't stop playing till I finished the last level. Man! This is not good coz I got lots of things to do in the house.

Going to School
Today, I called the school close to our house to check the schedule of enrollments for kindergarten. Got a recording saying that the enrollment starts in August. That is good coz that means I still have plenty of time to have my son's paper works ready (physical exam, eye, dental, etc). Time really flies really fast. Can't believe that he's going to be in kindergarten soon.

hassle!
Since it's June already, I decided to cut check out my son's blue jeans pants that's too short for him to wear and see if I could make it into a nice short pants (coz it still fits him on his waist line, he just gets tall pretty fast). I managed to sew the first one but when I'm getting ready to do the next one, the needle broke! Darn! I don't feel like taking out needles of my sewing machine and putting a new one. Grrr!!! This is truly a hassle. I thought I'm going to be able to finish this one and be done with it. I hate starting a project that I can't finish! Well, I guess I just have to take a deep breath and breathe!

Why?
Why is it that I don't feel like writing anything on my blog? There was a time that I don't wanna go to sleep coz I wanted to write everything that's going on in my mind. Or sometimes, I can't wait to wake up so I can start checking and updating my blog. But now, it seems like I'm lost for words. Why?

New Jersey Vacation
The month of May is about to end folks and when June comes, more warm weather for all of us. With that, most of us are thinking of heading out to the beach! Lake Shore here isn’t a bad place to go to, but sometimes it’s just too crowded that you can’t find a spot wherein you can just relax and enjoy the sun. We always have to like go during weekdays so it is not that crowded. It's alright though, a nice place around here.
But, if you are in New Jersey or are planning to visit New Jersey, start with the Jersey Shore. I heard that New Jersey water parks are supposed to be some of the best in the United States. By the way, Morey’s Pier has an upcoming Radio Disney Summer Concert Series from the end of June until August. So, that’s a great reason for all of us to plan a New Jersey Vacation specially if you have kids. The concert is free, so it’s a total package already. Great water parks and free concert to go with it.
Still Talking About A.I.
I cannot believe that my hubby is still talking about American Idol. He woke me up at 6 o'clock in the morning just to say that Adam Lambert is so good that Queen wants to talk to him. As sleepy head as I am, in my mind I said, "Who Queen, the Queen of England,? No way!!! He's not that good for the Queen of England to talk to him." Before I can even say anything out loud, he repeated it and said, Queen, the band. ehehehehe That makes total sense... Queen the rock band... He even said, Adam didn't get the title because the people who like him (like himself->hubby) didn't vote, so Kris got the title. Whatever! I still like Kris Allen :)
Web Hosting Rating (WHR)
I have been very busy with my “extra curricular” activities here and so I never had the chance to check my online accounts regularly, whether it is my email, bank, blogs, Paypal accounts etc. Today, I finally found that spare time and was able to peek at all of them. It didn’t surprised me when I found out that it has been a year already and my web hosting company charged me for another year again. However, what surprised me was how they increased their rates! I don’t think I received a notice or something that they’ll be increasing their rates. It is so disappointing, but, I’m not going to dwell on that. I’m more on dwelling on the solution. The solution is to find a new web hosting company. I know, there are a lot of them out there but web hosting rating is my key to that problem. They provide us with the top 10 web-hosting providers, which would also lead us to helpful information such as their hosting plans, features, and reviews, ratings and comments by their satisfied customers. How about knowing the Four Key Points on Multiple Domain Hosting? That’s just one of the articles you can read on their site too. So, if you are new and still doesn’t know the ins and outs of web hosting and looking for one (for either personal or business use) then Web Hosting Rating will save you all the hassle of going through hundreds of web hosting sites out there. Check it out and you will not be sorry you did.

Kris Allen - The New American Idol
I am so ecstatic Kris Allen won! From the very beginning he's the one that I like the most. Yay!!! Unbelievable! Sorry, never liked Adam Lambert. He's just so dramatic and over the top and just don't like him (and so as his voice)... looks "plastic" and "suplado", even when he's smiling. (Sorry Aling Tikya) :) Since hubby saw Adam Lambert singing, he's been predicting that he's going to be the A.I. bleh! He was wrong ehehehehe
Anyways, this is my favorite part of the Finale Show.. Kris Allen singing with Keith Urban.

Cinco De Mayo
It is another start of my work week (my online job-data entry) and so far no work has been put out. I checked my facebook and I had an invitation from one of my friends. An invitation to Farm Town game/application on facebook. Since I'm not busy, I checked it out and guess what? I'm addicted to it already! Yup that quick! Bless, it's your fault eheheehhe Thanks for the invite though. Love, love the game!

1 Year
Wow! How time really flies. It has been a year since I was sworn-in to be an American citizen. I can remember still how I was cramming to study for the test/interview early April last year. Wew! I'm just thankful that it's all over with. But darn! It's that long but still never get the chance to get me or my kid a passport. Tsk!

Ocean Adventure
Another attraction in the Mall of America is called Ocean Adventure... and here are some of our photos:
Ocean adventure is cool, but they are going through some renovations, plus you can't touch the stingrays anymore... just the starfish and some other "creatures" that I really don't know which or what.

It's a long drive for him eheheheh poor hubby. The plan is to get up early on April 7th, vote (for mayor and etc here in our city) then off to MN. So I think we need to do some packing now.

Sleep Over
Today Kuletz and I are spending the night at my friend's house... My son loves it when we spend soooo much time in their house. Ash is 8 already but they like playing together. They'd have little fights here and there but they don't wanna stop playing once they get along again. Nobody wants to leave whether we are at their house or in our house :)

Friendship - None Of Those Sissy Crap
I got this email from a good friend of mine and I say this is probably the truth about friendship :) Not those typical stuff we get on our email that always sound good and not even close to reality.
Here it goes:
1. When you are sad - I will help you get drunk and plot revenge against the sorry bastard who made you sad.
2. When you are blue - I will try to dislodge whatever is choking you.
3. When you smile - I will know you are thinking of something that I would probably want to be involved in.
4. When you are scared - I will rag you about it every chance I get until you're NOT.
5. When you are worried - I will tell you horrible stories about how much worse it could be until you quit whining.
6. When you are confused - I will try to use only little words.
7. When you are sick - Stay the hell away from me until you are well again. I don't want whatever you have.
8. When you fall - I will laugh at your clumsy ass, but I'll help you up.
9. This is my oath.... I pledge it to the end. 'Why?' you may ask; because you are my friend.
You can snatch and re-post this if you want and tag 10 of your closest friends and you'd get depressed because you can only think of 4 :P

Haunted Trails
Our plan today was to go to Chuck E. Cheese's so our kiddo here can play some of his favorite arcade games, but unfortunately, the place was so crowded because there are some kids who are celebrating their birthdays there. So as usual, we ended up going somewhere else. It was a good decision though, because the place is better than Chuck E. Cheese's. It's called Haunted Trails. It's like CC too because it has a restaurant inside and a lot of arcade games but outside they also have a tornado ride, mini golf, a separate go carts for adults and kids, batting cage, and a mini roller coaster (which was under repair). He enjoyed it specially the go cart ride with his daddy. :) I didn't get a good picture in the go car.. they all came out dark.

New Pet
Since we were not able to go to the Shedd aquarium, my son has been telling his daddy about wanting to see some fish. So, the dad decided to take him to the pet store. He checked out all the fishes but ended up buying a bird. I don't know why. :) So here is his new pet bird. This is just like his last parakeet, the only difference is that the last one that died is blue and this one is yellow green. He chose this one by the way.

Adler's Planetarium (Chicago)
We are supposed to go to the Shedd Aquarium again, but the line is soooooooooo long and we found out that the whales, dolphins and penguins are on vacation because their area are being renovated. Since Adler's Planetarium is right next to The Shedd Aquarium, we went there instead.
Here are some of the photos:

Colon Cleansing
I am a little bit tired tonight, but unfortunately, I still can’t go to sleep. I feel bloated, so I just sat on the bed and started flipping channels. Incidentally, one show that caught my attention was talking about feeling bloated and so as fatigue, gaining weight, skin problems and low energy. They are linking these symptoms to our colon being, as I understand, intoxicated. By the way, one of the functions of our colon is to digest and absorb nutrients from food. Therefore, if we are not in the habit of eating healthy foods, the possibility of building up mucus in the colon is an absolute. Hence, buildups produce toxins that can poison our body. To prevent this, some suggest colon cleansing. I have never heard of many Colon Cleanse products, so I searched the Internet. Dr. Natura.com is one of the sites that I have seen and visited. They are the most popular resource of body cleansing and detox programs and products. If you are interested, you can check their website as well to learn everything about colon cleansing and detoxification. Read the stories of their satisfied customers too. As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

The Man From Manila
My friend Che and Aling Tess sent a text message today telling me that Francis Magalona, The Master Rapper and the Man From Manila, who was also an actor and host, has passed away. He lost his battle to the dreaded Leukemia. I know that it was a great loss to the Philippines' showbiz industry. Some of his songs that I love the most are Mga Kababayan, Cold Summer Nights and Kaleidoscope World.

Celebrating 9th Year!
Today my hubby and me are celebrating our 9th year of being married to each other. Can't believe that it was that long already :) How did I survive or how did he survive? That's a million dollar question... eheheehe... Since it's Thursday he has to go to work so no going out I guess...But as always he gave me his presents last night (he always like to give it sometimes a day early whether it's just a card or a piece of chocolate).
Here are the photos taken by Kuletz (I must say he's getting good in taking pictures :D)

She invited me as early as December so she said I don't have a reason not to attend since she told me about it waaay early. It was Lingerie Themed Party and no men was allowed to attend ehehehehe. It was exclusively for girls and girls only. :D

First Time
I won't forget this day, because today is the very first time that my hubby allowed me to drive by myself!! Imagine that! This driving is really long overdue and I'm glad that he trusted me to go ahead and do it. Since it's my first time, I was a bit nervous but it was all good. :) I went to the store and back without any problem. :)

It's Official, We Have A New Commander-In-Chief
Today, I spent most of my day watching the coverage of Barack Obama's inauguration. A lot of Americans are very emotional. It is a very historic moment for this free nation. Below is Mr. Obama's Oath taking.

Wrapping Up 2008
I can say that 2008 is a great year for me. I'll make it short though. 2008 is the year wherein I was able to accomplished a lot of things. I became an American Citizen first and foremost (April) . My little boy experienced how it's like to be in school (summer school-June). Then I finally got my long over due driver's license (July). This is also the year where I got the chance to see my long time friend Sharon and her family from Rockford (we get to see each other once in a blue moon-August). Also, it's the year wherein I got my second work-at-home job, which is transcription (December). Last December, I celebrated my New Year's Eve, for the first time, outside the house without my two boys. I celebrated it at my friend's house Cheryl. With hubby's approval of course. :) I will post some pictures later on. So goodbye and thanks 2008, hello 2009.
