My Little Sister

This is Kuletz' gift to her "tita"

This is my little sister (who is not little anymore, in fact, she's much taller than I am and I am 5'5 already lol). It's not her first time here in America, but this is the first time that she had the chance to visit us here in the Chicagoland. It is also her first time meeting my son Kuletz. When I picked her up at the airport, the most excited person is my son lol! He was a bit shy at first, but he was all smiles when she saw her "Tita".

Excited !

I am so happy and excited for my sister and myself because finally, after 10 years we will be seeing each other again. She is working in Egypt right now and she applied for a tourist visa... Guess what? She got approved! They gave her a 10 year visa... I'm excited for my son too coz she'll be meeting her for the very first time... Can't wait.. it's gonna be on December 27th. She'll be staying here till January 14th.

Should a dive steam in the unlucky volunteer?

Table Top Display

Wow Christmas is really just around the corner. Many Christmas parties are sure going to happen everywhere. I was looking at my facebook account and one of my friends posted some pictures of their company Christmas party. I miss them so bad! I used to be in one of those parties. I enjoyed looking at their pictures. She even took photos of their pretty table top display. I am a bit jealous. I wish I could celebrate Christmas with them.

Oh well, I am working with a new company now and just found out that we are having a company Christmas party as well. This is going to be our first year of having a party, so I bet they would pay attention to every detail from the table covers down to the last silverware. I trust that they would do a good job. I guess they could use help from camelbackdisplays.com for their table covers or table top displays. Speaking of camelbackdisplays.com, did you know that they have just about everything for your trade show exhibits need? Yes, from graphic tents, pop up displays, table covers, stage skirts to banner stands and even directors chairs. For those of you who are interested to know more about it, just visit camelbackdisplays.com.

Snowy

December 1st was when we got our first snow, but it didn't stick...today it's suppose to snow again and will accumulate to about 4-5 inches...I like when it's snowing, the part that I don't like is when it's time for me to go to work...for a newbie driver like me, it's a bit scary coz sometimes the streets are icy and the cars are sliding :( Anyway, hopefully it won't be that bad... stay warm!

I Want New Scrubs !

I can’t believe that my scrubs are so faded now when I have only been wearing them for a couple of months! I have 4 sets of scrub clothes that I wear from Monday thru Thursday. I have the classic white, royal blue, magenta, and a brown and green (sounds like an awful combination of colors, but they look nice in person). My question is why do they look so old and faded already? Unbelievable, to think that I paid a good amount of money for those medical uniforms.

Anyway, before the end of the year I am planning to buy a couple of new scrubs from blueskyscrubs.com. I am thinking of buying one of their pink scrubs or their teal scrub to add to my collection. :) Shopping on their website is very convenient specially now that we started getting blanket of snow and the temperature is in the single digit already. It will save me some gas as well. I think that’s simply smart shopping! :)

December, Already?

It is December 1st already? Wow! Time really flies. The year 2011 is just around the corner. Oh well, Christmas first eeehhehehehe… Speaking of Christmas, I haven’t had the energy (nah.. I’m just plain lazy lol) to go up in the attic and get the Christmas tree. My little one here is so anxious to decorate it. Since his mommy is too lazy, I bet daddy will come to the rescue and get that tree up from the attic. :)

Worried

I took the state exam today and I am a little worried. The exam itself is not that hard, but I was a bit nervous and I was stomped at the first question. Lol! It’s a multiple-choice type of test, some questions are a bit tricky, and some seem to have two possible answers. I just hope that I did good coz I don’t want to take the exam again. They will send me the result in a week or two. Hoping for the best!

Happy !

Yup! It 6 a.m. and I can say that I am happy because today is my last day of school! Yay! Actually, I really don't have to go coz I passed all my exams for the last three days, but I wanted to spend the last day with my wonderful classmates and bid formal goodbyes...We will probably see each other before the state exam...or on the day of the exam... who knows :)

One More Week

Next Thursday will be my last week in school. I am not really counting, am I? Lol! If we pass all the exams from Monday to Wednesday, our instructor said that we don’t have to come back on Thursday. Yay! Of course, I intend to pass all my exams no matter what! After that, I have a week to prepare for the state exam. Darn! A week?! Oh no!

So Busy

Geez! I was so busy doing homework after homework and never get the chance to update my blogs. I have two more weeks and I am finally done with my CNA course. After that, all I have to worry is passing the state exam. Anyway, I have nothing to say really, except that I am super tired and sleepy right now. Four hours of sleep every night is not good. Oh well, this is just temporary. After this, I am going to sleep my butt off! :) Thank God it's Friday tomorrow and I don't have to go to school. :)

Yaiks !

As I have said previously, I wasn't really looking forward this weekend but it is inevitable waaaaaaa... Anyways, it was not a good day today. I have learned a lot however, I don't like it. The bad thing, I have no choice. I still gotta do it. Thankfully, my classmate is somehow a good person to work with and so as our trainer. Still, not looking forward for the next weekend. I am darn diddly exhausted!

Overwhelming

Fourth day, it has been rough for me and my classmates but we're surviving :) Since Tuesday we have had quizzes, which thankfully, we've passed every one of it. It's very overwhelming but it's good to know that my brain has the ability (still) to function when I needed it the most. One week done, a few more weeks to go... Not looking forward this coming weekend... waaaaaaaaaaa!

Not Bad

First day of class is not as bad as I thought it's going to be. I met some nice folks. Our instructor is nice. The only part that I don't like is the homework part waaaaaaa just too much!! Oh well, that means I have to get off my computer and start reading and doing this darn homework. :) I have to read another six chapters. Later!

Monday, October 11, 2010

First Day

Alright, I admit I'm a little nervous today because it's my first day of class... I am prepared though. Did my homework from chapters 1-6... that's a lot of reading, I tell you that :) Anyway, my class starts at 5 till 9 pm. We'll see what's gonna happen :)

PlayStation®Move

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PlayStation MOVE. All opinions are 100% mine.

Back in my younger years, the only electronic games that we have is the Nintendo family computer, Atari and a handheld video game called Game & Watch. I love those game consoles, however, playing for hours would make your fingers, wrists, back and legs hurt.

I am so thankful that nowadays, our kids will be able to play video games and still get some kind of exercise and not just sit and look at the tv screen. One good example is the newly launched PlayStation®Move. It is a game console that offers something to someone who is either experienced, a casual or even a novice in playing video games. PlayStation®Move has an easy-to-use controller giving you ultimate control on how you play the game. They have a wide selection of games such as Brunswick Pro Bowling, NBA 2K11, for sports minded gamers, Eyepet for kids and Resident Evil if you want some action. Of course, these are just some of the games they offer, you can check out their website for the complete list of games they have. Also, if you already have the Playstation 3, you can get the Move bundle package for $99. That is a good deal right there.

Anyway, I’ve been trying to convince my hubby to buy a Wii game, but I’ve changed my mind. I think I would like to buy Playstation Move bundle more than any game console in the market. This is something that I am sure our entire family would love, especially our little boy who is very competitive. He loves to play bowling with us and believe it or not, he always wins every time we play. :)

Training

I started my part-time hours today and I got the chance to check out the training center where I plan to get the course that I have been planning to take for the longest. I was happy that I am not late for the registration. Though the class starts next Monday, he said that I still have time. He gave me the forms and other necessary papers I needed to fill out. I will come back either this Wednesday or Thursday to submit it and pay for my tuition. Hopefully I will not have conflict of scheds with hubby so he can watch our little boy here at home while I am at school.

Thankful

I am so thankful that today, my director told me that the hours I requested was approved. Yay! I am sure that my son will be very happy. First off, he doesn't have to go to the daycare with me, second, he will have time to rest at home before we start doing his homeworks. And one good thing, I will have the chance to go to school at night. Let's see what's going to happen.

Hoping

Today, I submitted a letter to my director requesting that I be put on a part-time hours. My son is having difficulty with his math and reading subject (he can read very well, but his issue is comprehension). So, I needed more time to tutor him. I requested a 9a.m. to 1 p.m. schedule. I am really hoping that they would approve it. I am praying and crossing my fingers :)

Hubby's Birthday

It is my hubby's birthday last 14th of September. It's a weekday and we didn't do anything plus he didn't really wanna celebrate it. We made him two nice cards, bought a little balloon and a little cake and that was it. My son enjoyed making the cards :) Anyway, hubby just turned 46.

Happy Birthday hubby! Good health to everday! We love you!

Payday Again

Yay! It's payday again. I will be able to get me another set of uniform :) Anyways, nothing much to do tonight. Just have to tutor my son with his math, reading and spelling. It's a lot of work for him and myself. Hopefully he will concentrate and focus more tonight. And hopefully, I will have a lot of patience, patience and more patience. God help me :)

Lay Down All Day

Lay down all day. That's what I intend to do today. I'm so tired, sick and cough is really, really bothering me. The weather started changing a couple of days ago and it has affected me already. I read in one the circulating articles on the internet that commonly, we get at least 6 to 10 colds a year. Darn! That sucks... I don't wanna get sick all the time but it sure looked like it got me started already. Oh well, I'm just going to drink me a lot of water, orange juice, take cold medicine and lay down and watch the Matlock Marathon :)

Thursday, September 9, 2010

Marathon

It is just Thursday but I can't wait till it is Saturday. Why? Because I've been waiting to watch the Matlock marathon. :) Since I was in high school I have been watching Matlock. I think I have watched every single episode of their show. It is of course, reruns, but heck! I still want to watch it. I just love watching courtroom drama :) I am going to buy me some BBQ sunflower seeds and soda and I'll be good to go. :)

Window Blinds

This past Sunday, my son really got on my last nerve. I told him not to play by my bedroom window because he is kind of messing with the blinds. That window blinds are not even 3 years old. Anyway, after telling him for about four times, I almost spanked his b*tt when I saw that the lower part of the blinds was tore. Darn! I really don’t want to buy new blinds because ours is barely new and I don’t want to go through measuring this and that; I am not a very handy person, for your information.

Anyway, what can I do? If it is ripped then I have to replace it. Plus, I needed to buy one for our kitchen window anyway, so I guess it is really time for a replacement. Do any of you know where I can buy blinds, whether it be Roller blinds, Roman blinds or Vertical blinds that is like 50% off? :) Right now, it is not in the budget so I’d like an affordable, but of course, of good quality. I need to get it as soon as possible before my sister visits me. I don’t want her to think that I don’t know how to take care of my house. :)

Change of Weather

I like the idea that it is almost fall and I really am ready for a change of weather. I got what I wished for. For two days now we’ve had temperature in the 70s and I like it, however, at this early fall season, I am starting to get sick already. I felt nauseous for the most part of the afternoon at work. I have been sneezing too and when I got home, I felt dryness in my throat and nose. I even had a slight headache. I took medicine however and hopefully I will feel better tomorrow morning. As I have said to one of my co-workers, I really don’t call off work when I’m sick (unless I have a temperature; don’t want our babies to catch fever) because I’m saving my absences for my son, when he gets sick.

Our New Uniform

Last Friday, we were closed due to our annual mandatory in-service meeting. The agenda was about our rules and guidelines, risk management plans, our policies, the yearly curriculum among others. In addition, we were told that we will have change of uniforms, from t-shirts with our company logo, to scrubs uniforms. Everybody got excited. They did not really give specifics of the scrubs; they just said that as long as it is of solid color, we are good.

I went from store to store last Saturday to check out available scrubs. Unfortunately, I did not like what they have. The fabric is not something I want to wear. Since I’m pressed for time, I just bought the one that fits me best. Next week I’m planning to buy a couple of more uniform scrubs so I don’t have to wash every night. This time, I will check out blueskyscrubs.com instead of wasting my time going to the store. Their site offers a wide array of nursing uniforms, lab coats, medical uniforms, and something that my co-workers and I need, women scrubs. Anyway, to all my nurse friends out there, if you’d like to see their designer nursing uniforms and accessories, visit them at blueskyscrubs.com. Also, check their offer of free shipping on orders $155 or more! I have seen their scrubs and just can’t decide which color I want, I have the blue one already, so maybe the green scrubs? Hmm...We'll see.

Confusion ?

Last week, on my son's third day of school, the teacher approached me and said that after I picked up my son, there's a lady looking for him trying to pick him up and claiming that she's the mother. Though the teacher already know that I am his mother, she said, he got picked up already by his mother. The teacher said that she just might got confused cause she's not that familiar with her students yet. I didn't ask for more details, I just reiterated to her that no one is going to pick up my son but me and my husband.

Upset

I am upset right now. Don't ask me why because I'm not gonna tell. I can't believe that there are people who would do some things just because they can. Though I'm not gonna sweat it. I still believe in the saying, "what goes around, comes around!" Karma that is!

She Needs Business Cards

I was once at the supermarket waiting in line and met a Filipina living relatively close to where I am residing. The first time we met, I felt comfortable with her already. She’s so funny and very down to earth and so as her husband. We exchanged emails, facebook accounts, phone numbers etc., and been in contact since. Then recently, we bumped into each other again at the same supermarket where we first met. We talked for a while and she told me that she and her husband just opened an online store. She asked me to help her in spreading the link to their online store, so I ask them if they have a business card so I can give it to my friends. She said they do not have a business card yet. They are still in the process of having their custom designed business cards. Anyway, she emailed me the link to their store and asked me to check it out and see how it appeals to me. She wants any feedback/comment on how they could improve the site. The site was simply designed and easy to navigate actually. They are selling accessories for cellphones, gps, and other electronic devices. I bet we will be seeing each other again in the supermarket sometime soon! Lol!

Time Flies

I don't like this... It is Sunday 3:03 pm already... wow! I'm still sleepy! I still feel tired. Thought I will be a bit energized over the weekend, but nah! I had to help my son do his homework, which is by the way overwhelming even for me. Eight pages?! Darn! Oh well, what can I do...

Hampton Chain Of Friends Sweepstakes

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hampton Hotels. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hampton_logo

I rarely enter contests, sweepstakes, or the like. However, if the contest is about free weekend stay at any Hampton Hotel is a different story. I would definitely enter their Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes because Hampton Inn (great accommodation and affordable price) is one of our favorite hotels to stay whenever we are going out-of-town or when we would go on a vacation in another state.

Here’s the scoop about the Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes – you are eligible to enter if you are at least 18 years old and living in the 50 states, District of Columbia and Canada (Quebec-not included). Two ways to enter, either you book a stay online (use the code FRIEND or COF) or you can visit their website to complete an entry form without booking a stay (this one is my choice too). This promotion will run from June 1, 2010 – September 4, 2010. You still have plenty of time to enter so better hurry up.

This is very exciting! If I win (crossing my fingers), I’d probably go to the Mall of America (MOA) in Minnesota and I’ll be taking two of my friends. I plan to stay in the Hampton Inn in Woodbury because it is kind of close to where another friend of mine lives and not that far from MOA. I just filled out an entry form and again, I’m crossing my fingers! :)

He Got Excited

Yesterday morning I woke up my son and asked him to take a shower and brush his teeth, put on his uniform and everything. Then after a few minutes he came up my room rushing and was so excited, smiling from ear to ear and exclaimed, "mommy look! i tied my shoes!". I was so happy because I've been teaching him how to do it for a while now and he finally did it. I just taught him how to tie his shoes recently because I bought him the one with shoe laces (all his shoes are those velcro snap ons). Anyway, I'm so proud of him! :)

Tyra is Terrific Television

Written by my friend Dong Wood

I have watched almost every episode of the Tyra Banks show throughout its run. I'm glad it remains in syndication currently as this was and to me, still is, a talkshow that actually had something to talk about. Tyra did something that most talk show hosts did not do. She got real. She talked about herself, her struggles, and connected with the people she brought on her show. Another reason I watched was the fact that she made sure everyone on the show looked fabulous.

From the audience members to the guests everyone seemed to be able to look good and feel good. She did hard hitting stories about the adult industry and beauty related episodes that tried to discover exactly what it was that beauty is really comprised of. I found her topics to be engaging and interesting in a daytime roster filled with shows that are not worth my time.

I have far more channels available to me on my satellite tv than I could possible watch in a day. Sadly, I am constantly under the impression that nothing 'good' is on the direct tv channel guide. Tyra has continually kept that sensation at bay. Whether she was helping teen girls overcome peer pressure, or helping people understand that true beauty is in your words and actions; not just in a pretty face, didn't matter. Tyra kept my attention. Of course, it didn't hurt that she was incredibly gorgeous and I wanted to snuggle her senseless.

My Son's Art

This is my son's drawing. He said it was him fishing at the lake, which is his favorite thing to do this summer (other than riding his bike of course) :) For his age, I thought this one is a pretty good drawing. Very detailed... you see the bait, a fishes, seaweed and I'm impressed how he drew the fishing rod :)

Re-Boost !

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boost Mobile. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have been contemplating for a while now if I would like to switch to a new wireless phone company. Right now, I am not very happy with what I have. The signal is on and off, the caller I.D is sometimes messed up (number wouldn’t come up on the screen, it always say unavailable), then when I am trying to login to facebook, an error is always popping up. Sure, the monthly payment is very affordable, but if the service is poor, it is not even worth it.

So, I am thinking of getting a Blackberry from Boost Mobile. I would like the $60/unlimited plan. I am considering the unlimited plan because I use my phone a lot to check my emails, instant message, text my friends and of course, to update my facebook account when I am away from my computer. It also has unlimited nationwide calling. I know with other companies, you will have to pay extra for these features, which would probably cost an arm and a leg! Speaking of payment, Boost Mobile has this Re-Boost program wherein the options to pay is either by phone, online or in person to your nearest Re-Boost location. You can use credit or debit card for a one-time payment or set-up an automatic payment (great feature! - so you don’t have to worry about forgetting to pay your bill, which may cause an interruption in service).

Anyway, if you are interested, you can check out their website because other than Blackberry, they also have phones like Samsung Rant and Samsung Seek. If you are a Motorola fan, they have the i1 and Bali phones. Also, don’t forget to check out their “pay as you go” plan. Let’s all Re-Boost and take control!

What In The World ?!

I don't understand what's going on with our internet connection. It seems like we're paying for some messed up service. What is going on with you "Clear"! Darn! I can't do a lot of things because I am using our dial-up service right now. Oh well, at least I have a back-up than totally no connection at all. That would have killed me coz I have opps to do! Better straight up "Clear" or you will be fired!

FaceVsion TouchCam N1

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of faceVsion Technology USA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Keeping in touch with family and friends are now much easier and enjoyable than ever. You can have coffee with you friends that lives across the globe using live webcam. They say pictures worth a thousand words. I guess seeing your loved ones through live webcam is worth a million. Seeing and talking to them in real-time is possible as long as you have an Internet connection and a web camera or generally known as webcam. Also, you need to download web-based video chat program and the most popular one right now is Skype.

Anyway, if your computer does not come with webcam, you can just buy it. Make sure though that when you decided to get one it is of high resolution and capable of streaming in true quality HD like FV touchcam N1, which you can find at faceVision on line store. Why FV touchcam N1? Because it is the first Internet streaming true HD webcam for Skype video calls. In addition, faceVsion is the world’s first Skype certified webcam. The installation is easy (plug-n-play). It has a chip that takes 720p video using high-quality encoding technology. It also features a best-in-class 78 degree super wide angle lens.

I remember one time I was chatting with my sister she was complaining that I look like a ghost and she can barely see me because my webcam has a low resolution and video quality. It would have been a much nicer experience for both of us if I have faceVsion TouchCam N1. It is not too late though. I can buy it www.shop.facevsion.com because right now they are having a back-to-school promo with $10 off any purchase (here’s the code if you too are interested - FVTBTS2). Don’t forget to check their FV ExpressCombo as well. I am sure that it is going to be one of the best tools you can buy this year. You can meet up with friends from anywhere in the world without leaving the comfort of your home.

Finally, I don't have to take a cab on Monday. Hubby had a chance to fix the car, however, it is temporary which I don't really mind. He told me that I can only use it going to and from work and of course dropping off and picking up my son from school. He's basically telling me that I can't go anywhere I pleases to.

Experience Branson

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

Come September 3rd, I am going to be attending our company’s annual ‘in-service’ meeting. I am sure that it will be a long day for all of us. I heard that last year, most employees are very antsy because the meeting was somewhat boring and a very long one. I was thinking, if the management would consider taking the meeting outside our facility, all of us would be more energetic and attentive. I mean, would it hurt if we go to another city, stay in a very nice but affordable hotel and have our once a year in-service meeting there? I guess it isn’t a bad idea, right?

We can stay close to home, you know. For example, in Branson, Missouri. One that might be a perfect place for us to hold the meeting and stay a night or two, is at Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing, which is conveniently located in the midst of the Historic Downtown. Or at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. These hotels offer comfort and convenience to their guests. They have onsite dining area, swimming pool, whirpool, fitness center and more. Even pets are allowed in their hotels. Whichever the management chooses, I am sure we, the staff, will going to enjoy every minute of it because after the meeting, we could all explore Branson, Missouri has to offer.

I have been to Missouri a couple of times, but never visited Branson yet, so personally, I’d like to go to the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and Titanic Museum, the unique theme park Silver Dollar City, and of course do a little shopping at the Tanger Mall Outlet.
Work and no play make us dull and gray. I am just thinking of mixing business and pleasure. We know that seeing something new is somewhat refreshing to our tired body busy brains.

Visit my sponsor: Experience all that Branson has to offer!

Sleep, Sleep, Sleep

It's Saturday and what I plan to do all day is sleep, sleep and sleep! I am tired, have a little headache and just not in the mood to do anything. I've been sleep deprived for a few days now and I think it's finally catching up with me. I have tasks to do, but heck I can't think right when my brain says go to sleep. lol! So that's what I'm going to do. Later!

Direct TV By DirectSatTV

Last Friday, I was so upset because I missed part two of one of my favorite television shows. Why? Simply because it was raining here a little bit and we lost our satellite connection. Darn! That happens all the time even when there is just a slight wind or rain. I have been telling my husband that our current satellite t.v. provider is no good, not to add the outrageous cost.

I told him again and again to look for a new provider because football season is about to start and for sure, he would not want to miss a thing specially when his favorite team is playing. I have been lurking online and I think I would suggest for him to check either Direct TV’s Choice Ultimate or Choice Xtra packages. I also love the idea of possibly getting a top-notch Filipino channel from them. Yay!

Other than checking out the affordable Direct TV packages by DirectSatTV I also like the fact that they offer free HDTV for life. Why pay, if you can get it for free, right? These are enticing offers that I think, it’s very hard to say no to. Since there are strict government dish rules, DirectTV’s web specials for free professional installation will also come in handy. Us, as consumers need not worry whether we adhere to government’s requirements in installing satellite dish or antennas.

Anyway, I’m going to talk to my husband soon and see if we could agree on signing up for one of the Direct TV by DirectSatTV packages. That would be great just in time for my (and his) favorite television shows’ fall season. :)

Why Am I...

... still up when it is 4:40 in the morning already? I am not sure. I guess it's because my legs are bothering me. I can't explain it. I think it's what they call here in the U.S. the restless leg syndrome. I just took another shower moments ago thinking that it would relax me a little bit, but here I am still up blogging my b*tt away. Please let me go to sleep! I have to wake up at six in the morning and still have to go to work!!!

Sunflower Seeds

Oh my gosh! One of my co-workers introduced me to sunflower seeds three days ago and now I am so addicted to it! I feel like I am a bird eating up seeds lol! I didn't know that they have different flavors like Ranch, Nacho Cheese, Barbeque and I heard that there's even a Jalapeno flavor. I wonder what that tastes like. Frito Lay and David (?) are my favorite brands so far. I'm into eating BBQ and Nacho Cheese right now. I will try some of the flavors later on. :) Right at this very moment, I am actually enjoying the original flavor. :P

My Weekend

I had a pleasant weekend with my two boys. Last Saturday we went to Wolf Lake again so my little boy can ride his bike. I thought my hubby will still be teaching him again how to ride, but I was so surprised that he's riding his bike by himself. Hubby took a week off (last week) from work so he could give our son a little break from going to the daycare and I guess during those times, he taught him how to ride his little bike. Anyways, after he got tired of riding, we then went fishing. We did not catch anything this time. We did see little fish in the shallow water though. There's a lot of people barbecuing at the lake and it was smelling so good. Hubby ask me if I wanted to go home, get some stuff at the house, buy some meat to bbq and come back to the lake... I said, naahhhh! Though it sounded so much fun, I said I just wanted to go home and just relax, watch television and sleep. It was a bit hot for me that time and I was getting a little headache, I am a little bit tired. So we just went to Popeye's and got us a box of fried chicken, red beans and rice and mashed potatoes, then went home. On Sunday, I did not do much but washed clothes and sleep, internet, sleep, internet and more sleep. :)

Great !

I was absent again yesterday because I had to go to my son's school and enroll him in 1st grade (already) for the next school year. Then after the enrollment, I went out with my friend to go to her son's doctor's appointment... went to Burlington in Merrilville, IN... ate at a Chinese buffet (was so full!!!)... Today was a great day at work. Only six of our kids showed up (thank you very much :P) and we have additional new workers (people from one of the government's summer program)... it gave us a little bit of non-toxic day, which rarely happens :) We'll see how our day would go tomorrow... I bet it will be chaotic :)

August Already ?

Wow! I can't believe that it is the month of August already. My son's enrollment will be on the 11th and I am not sure if I have completed all the forms already. I have not even bought a single item from his school supplies list. still have time though. The first day of school is on August 23rd. Unbelievable! He'll be in first grade already. I'm getting old! Lol! Oh well... :)

Went Fishing

Oh my! Today, Kuletz has been bugging his daddy to buy worms so they can go fishing. I don't know what's with the worm but the boy is not scared to play with it. Darn! I said you are so nasty! He said, "No mommy, I'm not." I am not afraid to pick up the worm and put the darn thing to the fishing hook, but play with it on my hands? No way! Ewww! Anyway, we went fishing but he did not catch anything. Maybe next time. Now, I'm about to relax, relax and relax. See you all later :)

It was Fun !

I had a very long but fun day today. My MIL and I attended a baby shower and I was able to see some of my husband's relatives that I have not seen in a very long time. Aunt Sandra is one of them and as always, it's fun to talk and just be around her. She makes me feel very comfortable even at one point, I felt like I'm out of place because I am the only Asian there. :) By the way, food were great too! :) Oh well, since I'm full already, all I needed to do now is to go to bed. Later!

It's Past Two

It is past 2 a.m. and here I am still up. I can't sleep. I am craving for some chinese food, steak and raspberry cheesecake. Darn! This is what I get from watching too much Food Network and Cooking Channel shows. I am not hungry though. I am just craving like I am pregnant... lol... but at this point the preggy issue is impossible ehehehe:) Anyways, I’m gonna go back to bed and try to knock myself off coz I need to wake up early. Later all!

Too Much Good Stuff !

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of AMPM. All opinions are 100% mine.

My car is still stuck in the garage waiting to be fixed. I miss driving and going to one of my preferred gas station in Munster, Indiana. I keep going back to that place, even if it’s out of my way, because they have my favorite convenience store called ampm. Actually, it is more than just a convenience store because they have too much good stuff, from your morning coffee to tasty snacks and beverages. They also have an enormous selection of hot foods with their do-it-yourself, and always fresh condiment bar.

Anyways, The most interesting part of the selection is their secret menu items. You are not going to believe what are the ingredients in their secret menu items! You want to find out more about this secret buzz? Check out their facebook page and click on the secret menu tab, voila! You will find out all the “secret ingredients” in their secret menu items. :) I’m sure you’re gonna love it too as many people do! Here are some of my favorites: (1) Tower of Torta – consist of beef, chicken and pork tortas. This one I’m fond because it is like fiesta in your mouth when you have you first bite. Who can resist, beef, chicken and pork? (2) The Chili Conquistador – it is a burger topped with chili and spicy Funyuns. Yummy!! By the way, let us know which one is your favorite by leaving a comment on their page. Also, mark these dates on your calendar because new yums are coming out - 7/26, 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, 8/30 and on August 2nd, we can create our own ampm secret menu blend. How exciting is that? :)

Work, Work, Work

I am thankful that my son is now alright. Thank God! So as much as I don't want to work tomorrow, I have to because we need to make some moolah, right? :) Today is not a bad day either. I actually think it was a productive day coz I was able to do few blogging opportunities. Then, I did some household chores. In addition, I had a delicious dinner and had the chance to watch some of my favorite television shows (NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Good Wife, Matlock and Murder, She Wrote) Yay! I guess all I needed to do is to take my b*tt to bed and go to sleep so I can wake up early… yeah, I think that’s what I’m going to do… :) nighty night all!

SupaSwap Anyone ?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of SupaSwap Corporation. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard of a website called SupaSwap.com? It’s my first time to have heard it from a friend. She mentioned that it is like eBay, except that they are more focused in serving parents and children. I find it very interesting so I checked it myself. I understand that SupaSwap is an online shopping community where parents and kids can bid, buy, sell or even swap with other members’ items like video games, toys, gadgets, books and more . In my humble opinion, it is a safe place for parents and kids because parents or guardians need to confirm and authorize the registration of any teens or juniors; and same goes when the kids want to swap, bid or sell anything on the site. I find the website so easy to navigate and it is simple yet attractive with the use of colorful designs.

What I love most about their site is the idea of swapping. You know how kids easily get tired of their toys? They love to buy those expensive video games and after using it a few times, they do not want to play with it anymore. With Supaswap, children are allowed to trade those games with other members, which is a neat idea and surely economical for parents as well. Speaking of games, Supaswap has a game zone where anybody can play as many games as they want from their list of available games and for as long as they like. They do not even have to register to be able to play. It is updated regularly so kids like, my son, will not easily get bored. Isn’t that interesting? Well then, visit their website now at SupaSwap.com. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

Still At Home

I am still at home right now (not fun to be at home, when someone’s sick), trying to take care of my son because his temperature is still not normal. He’s fever is on and off and he’s coughing every now and then. Right now, his temperature is normal and he’s resting while watching Shrek II (for the nth time-dubbed in French lol). He ate a little cereal earlier so I was able to give him his medicine. Anyway, since he’s okay--at least for right now, I get the chance to get on the internet and was able to reserve a few opps, did my data entry job a little bit and hoping I’d get the chance to update my first blog ever, which the last entry was January 2009. I better stop talking and start doing lol… later!

Going Back To School

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ashworth College. All opinions are 100% mine.

After being a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom for a long period of time, last October 2009 I finally landed a job. I am now working at a daycare as a teacher’s assistant. One of the requirements in working for them is to have a mandatory 15 hours in-service or training. Last May 2010 I attended a seminar in Special Care to complete my 15 hours. In our session, our trainer mentioned that in 2013 all employees working in a childcare setting has to have at least an Associate Degree in Early Childhood and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in order for an employee to continue to work in a Childcare center and that they are trying to legalize it. What does that mean? She said that this means, a higher pay rate for those who have a degree in Early Childhood.

When I was still a stay-at-home mom, I have always been thinking of going back to school not just to prepare myself in re-entering the workforce, but for self-enrichment as well. Anyway, having heard that news in our seminar, makes me even want to pursue it. Since I am working at a daycare, I am thinking of getting an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. However, going to school and having to take care of my son is a tremendous challenge, unless of course, it is through distance education. Online schools like Ashworth is probably the perfect way for me to get an Online degree. Why Ashworth? First off, I’d like the idea of studying in my own pace and also because other than having over 100 nationally accredited certificates and degrees to choose from, they also offer a tuition fee (which includes all books and course materials) that is at least 50% lower than most, zero-interest financing, and an affordable monthly payment plan that other online schools don’t offer. This means, their students will graduate without drowning in student loan debt.

For moms like me, enrolling in Ashworth is something to think about. Furthering our education is definitely a way to improve our self-confidence and maintain our personal identity.

Sick Again

I am at home right now taking care of my sick son. He woke up the usual way, but when were getting ready to leave for the daycare, he told me he has a headache. At first, I thought he’s just being too lazy again (he does that when he doesn’t wanna go to school or daycare, unbelievable!) So I asked him if he’s okay. He said no. Took his temperature and he has 100.7 fever. Since my friend is on her way to pick us up, I decided to still go to the daycare and just let them know that I won’t be coming in for the day. We then stopped by at one of the Walgreens nearby and bought him an Ibuprofen and some cold medicine. When we get to the house, he hopped into his bed. He ate a few Ritz crackers and I gave him the Ibuprofen and put cold compress on his head. He fell asleep afterwards. He is up now and his temperature is normal (Thank God). He said his head is still aching but just a little bit. Hope he feels much better soon.

Internet Connection

I don't know what is wrong with our internet connection. It's been on and off for two days now. I can't even update my blogs nor check if there are some opportunities that I could grab. Anyhow, I'm just trying to write this one, just in case our connection will be off again later on. I'm off to work now.. Hopefully, I'll be able to connect later. Have a great day! See yah!

Past Bed Time

Okay, okay, said I’m going to bed…I’m sleepy okay! But I had to do a task that I just can’t let me pass :) It is past midnight and I’m guessing tomorrow I will be needing a strong cup of coffee or two (though I’m not really an avid fan of coffee). Okay enough of my babbling… I really need to go to bed :) Later gator!

On Demand Feature

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Charter. All opinions are 100% mine.

Back in the day, in order for you to watch your favorite shows on television is to either go home in a hurry or have someone record it for you so you will not fail to see it. Doesn’t it sucks when you have to adjust your schedule just to not miss your most loved TV shows? Even watching movies back then is a bit of a hassle. We used to go to video stores and have to browse the store’s entire collection of VHS or DVD and rent it. But those days are long gone. Watching your favorite shows and movies has now turned into a different story.

Nowadays, if you are a digital cable TV subscriber, missing a television show or renting a movie is next to impossible. One great example is the Charter TV On Demand. On Demand is a feature that let you watch movies or television shows anytime you want at the touch of your remote. You can rewind, fast forward, even pause and come back to it later just like you do a DVD player. This means that if you missed an episode of your fave TV show, like Burn Notice on USA Channel (which is one of my absolute favorite), you can still watch it through On Demand. Visit their On Demand home page and see their library of over 6,000 movies and shows, which you will truly like because many are totally free. You will ‘Like’ their Facebook page as well. Get back to me and see how well you “like” it. Enjoy! :)

Tiring But An A-OK Day

I’m a little tired today. I can’t believe that our kids who took vacations are back. We have at least 16 kids altogether and had to move 4 kids to another room as the maximum kids we are allowed to have in our room is 12. Since four of the kids have been away for quite a while, they were all crying almost the entire day. It will take about a week or so for them to get use to us again. Oh well… it will get better… for now, I’m ready to go to bed… I’m so sleepy! Nighty night folks!

DarkQ ?

When I started blogging, I have met quite a few wonderful people. However, I stopped writing on my blog for about a year. I guess I had a hard time adjusting to my new schedule of having a full-time job and being a full-time mommy. I just thought I had a lot on my plate and I just could not find time to even visit my own blog. Anyway, a few months ago, I started blogging again and I just realized how much I miss writing and reading blog articles.

One of my favorite blogs to visit is the website of my gay friend. I have not met him in person yet, but he’s a very nice person. Through his blog is where I found out about the DarkQ’s gay blog. I read some articles in DarkQ’s and they are interesting. Different authors mostly contribute the blog articles and it covers diverse topics. Though most topics are about gay life, they also talk about family matters, relationships, health and beauty, celebrities and even movies, the reason why I enjoyed reading many of their articles :)

Bummer!

I don’t know what is wrong my internet connection. It has been acting up since last night. It's like on and off...One of my tasks expired coz I can’t connect. I ended up watching the television hoping after a few minutes have passed by that it would be okay, but heck! I fell asleep and all and I still can’t connect. What a bummer! Oh well, better luck next time.

Men's Makeup

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of The Men Pen. All opinions are 100% mine.

Sometimes my hubby pisses me off when he would ask me and my son to get ready so we could go to such and such place, then, it’s him who’s taking forever in getting himself ready. I could be out the door in 30 minutes or less, but him? Oh no! He spends a lot of time in the bathroom just shaving and taking a shower. Isn’t it somewhat unusual for a man to be vain? I found out though that he is taking so much time in front of the mirror trying to come up with a solution in hiding his razor bumps. I guess he’s thinking if there are any mens makeup that he could use to conceal it. If that’s his problem, he should have asked me for a solution. He knows very well that I’m always on the internet and I have seen so many products that I didn’t even know existed, like mens cosmetics, a solution to his problem. :)

Yes folks! There is a concealer specifically made for men called The Men Pen. Just like women’s makeup, it has different shades (at least 17) that cover blemishes, rough spots, scars, acne, or any skin imperfections. I believe it is the same makeup that male models and actors use, which I think, would make any man who uses it more confident in themselves because those actors and models look good on screen and in their still photos all the time, right?

Deep Slumber

Oh no! It’s 6 a.m. already! I need to hurry up and do an opportunity that I reserved yesterday. My plan was to do it last night after I take a quick nap but I fell in a deep slumber instead. I must be really, really tired. I didn’t even get the chance to watch the 10 o’clock news in its entirety. Darn! Oh well, stop with the whining and start with the doing :) Good morning all!

Friendgiftr

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of FriendGiftr. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have only been working at my present job for almost 9 months and one of the people that I enjoyed being around with is our director. She is a nice, bubbly, and fun loving person. Everyday she always greets you with a smile. She will walk in every room just to make sure that her staff is doing alright. She is very approachable and dedicated to her job. However, for an unknown reason, she has just resigned recently. We were all in total shock.

We miss her so much. It was her birthday two days ago and did contemplate on what to give her. Some suggested that we give her the usual birthday card, cake, flowers, so on, and so forth. In the end, we agreed to giving her a birthday card and a gift card. Not your typical gift card though, it is one of those you can get at FriendGiftr. You can’t go wrong with that. Why? Because even if she does not like the store that we chose, she has an option to change it to whatever store or merchant she likes with no additional cost. She can even split the gift card to multiple merchants if she chooses. By the way, a Kohl’s gift card is what we are set to get because most of us at the daycare loves to shop at Kohls. Incidentally, that is one of my favorite stores as well.

one of my favorite stores

I remember last Mother's Day, it took me an entire day searching for a gift for my mother-in-law and still ended up with nothing. I wish I’ve known about Friendgiftr then. It would have made my gift searching and life easier. With our technology now, getting gift cards from Friendgiftr is even more convenient because other than their website, you can also avail their service through iPhone, Blackberry, Android and even in Facebook! Just choose a merchant, customize and send! It can’t get any easier than that. :)

Everyday Dilemma

Oh lordy! I’m telling you, my son is killing me lol! He hates going to the daycare. Everyday I have to drag him out of the bed so he can brush his teeth, shower and get ready to go to the daycare. I understand his feeling though. He just wanted to stay at home so he can relax, play, play, and play some more during his summer vacation (mommy has to go to work so he has to be in a daycare). However, when he gets to the daycare, he’s acting like he does not wanna go home, lol! Every Monday they have inflated jump thingy at the daycare, then on Tuesdays, they’d go bowling, on Wednesdays, there’s a sports coach coming over and have them do some exercise routines, Thursdays, they roller skates and on Fridays, they have field trips. On top of that, they also go to parks and do many indoor and outdoor activities.

NMEDA, What Is It ?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

In my previous post, I kept whining about waking up so early to attend a special care training that is needed for my present job. Now I realized that I did not lose anything but a few hours of sleep and gained a tremendous amount of information from our trainer, who is a very nice lady. She discussed about getting to know children/adult with disabilities (which I prefer to call them people with special needs), building relationships with their families, and how to include people with special needs in daily activities.

The last topic that I mentioned above is what hit me most because some people who have physical limitations tend to just exclude themselves from the world, which unfortunately, should not be the case. There are certain trainings, special services, and equipment that they can use for them to have more freedom and independence. Let say for example, they need wheelchairs, or vehicles with modified mobility equipment, they can rely on NMEDA(National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association).

NMEDA members (dealers) are dedicated people who made sure that they strictly adhere to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and NMEDA safety policies and guidelines. These members, who went through an NMEDA accreditation called Quality Assurance Program or QAP, are the ones who sell high quality mobility equipments, handicap vans and will do vehicle modifications for disabled people. QAP is given to dealers to make sure that they meet the guidelines in accordance to motor vehicle safety standards.

NMEDA by the way does not sell anything to consumers. They are a non-profit trade association of mobility equipment dealers and driver rehabilitation specialists. NMEDA is there for you to help you get the right equipment or vehicles that fits your daily life and needs. They sure will make you and your family’s life easier.

If you think you need NMEDA, check out their website and enter your zip code to see the dealers closest to you. I did and found at least five in my area.

Hot And Humid Again!

Boy oh boy! It was another hot and humid day here in the chicagoland people! I am not liking it. I wanted to get something to eat during my lunch break, but as soon as I stepped out of the door, man! I couldn’t breathe! There was not a bit of breeze outside. It was killing me! Thank God, one of my co-workers offered to get me some food. She was so nice! Thanks Ms. Star!

Beach Vacation

Hey folks! How’s everybody doing? I had a very long day at work today. I did not get the chance to eat lunch because we had a meeting. We are asked to bring our lunches but I forgot, my bad. In addition, I had a bad headache because it was very hot and humid all day here in the Chicagoland.

I wish I could just take sometime off work and go somewhere where I can just walk in a white sandy beach, enjoy nature, and relax. A nice spot would probably be a place like Avila Beach California wherein it is not affected by the oil spill. You can forget about work and just enjoy the ocean breeze, fine dining, spa and outdoor activities Avila Beach has to offer. That would be wonderful. However, for right now, I don’t have the luxury to take a vacation. Maybe you, on your next vacation, would consider Avila Beach. Let me know how you enjoyed it. :)

Impromptu BBQ

Yesterday (July 3rd) while I was trying to update my blog, doing the laundry, watching t.v. and in the midst of chatting with a friend and my sister, my mother-in-law came by (which I didn't even notice coz I was busy doing the above mentioned stuff) hubby came to me and told me to run to the store and gave me a list. Thank God, I showered already so off I go with my MIL... came back and the grill is ready. All I had to do is to rinse the meat (chicken wings/breast, turkey sausage/burger and steak) that I just bought and seasoned it and throw 'em on the grill. I was a bit upset coz I didn't know that my hubby wanted us to have a little cook-out and invited my MIL. Nevertheless, everything turned out well. My MIL and me whipped up the dinner in probably less than 30 minutes lol! Thanks to canned baked beans, and boxed mac n' cheese and ready made coleslaw and fresh corn :P ... and for dessert, we had fresh fruits and pies. :) So just yesterday, I gained 10 pounds, :D yaiks! Oh well, that's all I can say ehehehehe

Gone Fishing

My two boys just gone fishing and left me in the house hu...hu...hu... oh well, I didn't really wanna go :) I wanted to relax a little bit. Been exhausted at work for the past week so, I feel like I just needed to stay home, get me a nice meal, shower and just relax and vegge out in front of the television. I'm having my little me time of peace and quiet right now :) Yay! It's been a while since I had my "me" time :)

Field Trip

My son is enrolled in our daycare’s summer camp. Usually, their field trip is Friday, but this week it’s Thursday, so tomorrow I have to drop him off at my friend’s house. His daddy didn’t want him to go to the field trip unless I’d go with him, which is a bit impossible at this point coz I can’t take the day off from work. There is a policy at the daycare that if your child can’t join in the field trip, they can’t stay at the daycare coz no one’s going to watch them, which I think is a bit sad. :) Every week they have a field trip, which is somewhat costly for parents like me.

Break Problem

On my way to the Prairie State College to attend special care training, I thought my car’s tire needed some air. When I got to the house, I told him about it. He didn’t get the chance to check it. So I told him again last Monday and he finally checked it out. Unfortunately, he told me that it isn’t air that it needed. It needed new break pads. I thought he could fix it right away. However, he’s already tired from working. So when he gets to the house all he wants to do is to relax a bit and just go to sleep. Since then I am taking a taxicab, which I think is just too expensive ($20/day or a bit more, back and forth). Ouch! And please, don’t ask me why he don’t want it to take it to the shop… he has good reasons. :)

No Choice

Darn! I’m a little tired and I don’t feel like getting up early tomorrow. It’s Saturday, I know, but I have to attend a one-day Special Care Training. So I have no choice. I needed to complete a mandatory 15-hour in-service or continuing education. I already have 9 hours so I need 6 more. Tomorrow is going to be a 7 hour class, which means, I will exceed the mandatory 15. Well, I guess it’s okay. But really!!! I don’t wanna wake up early in the morning!!!

Big 37

One year added to my age. Yes folks! Not ashamed of my age. Today, which is almost over, I turned 37 years old. I am supposed to be off from work but I decided to come in anyway and file my birthday off on June 18th. Nothing fancy happened. My co-workers gave me two birthday cards signed by everybody. Hubby and son gave me two beautiful birthday cards as well and my fave cheesecake. Then I’m off to bed lol! Don’t blame me I’m truly, truly tired ehehehehe

Kuletz Graduation

How time really flies. My Kuletz has just graduated from Kindergarten. Sorry for the pictures. This is one of those days that he didn't want his pics taken, hence, the fake smiles. All he wanted to do is to go home, change his clothes and go to McDonald's. Unbelievable!

Kingston

Oh my sweet Kingston! He’s so cute in his white tux during the spring show. I wish I had my camera with me and took a picture of him. He is one of my favorite babies in the daycare. He’s a very light skinned boy. He used to be one of our babies in the infant room, but he turned one year old already so he has to move to Room 2. He is so cute! He’s just growing so fast. When I first got at the daycare, he was just a quiet little baby. Now he’s walking, running around, screaming, touching everything. Soon, he’ll be two and have to move to Room 3. :(

The Spring Show

Most of our kids’ parents are waiting for this day. Today is The Spring Show! I can’t wait to see our cute little buggers in their white outfits. I bet they are going to be wonderful. They have been practicing their presentations for months now. One class will be interpreting a Snow White song, the others, one of the songs in the Little Mermaid and more. Sadly, I will not be able to watch them perform coz I am assigned in the baby room (from 6 weeks to 1 year old). Okay gotta go! Don't wanna be late for work :) Later all!

CPR/First Aid Training

Today, I attended my first CPR/First Aid Class. At first I really don't wanna go but unfortunately, we needed it at work, so I have to. I didn't know what to expect coz for me, 8 hours just sitting in a class is kind of boring. But I was totally wrong! The trainer was absolutely wonderful (He's in his sixties). He was funny and really know what he's talking about. There was no dull and boring moment. He made sure that all of us participated in his class. Funny coz he called me his newbie lol! I was one of the 2 participants who never had a CPR training in the past. Most of our classmates were just attending as a refresher course (or just like me at first, had no choice coz it was a requirement in the job) I like his assistant too, a sweet lady, whom after the training told me that she likes pancit ehehehehe. Yeah, the trainer and the assistant asked me if I'm a filipino :) The trainer told me that he used to be married to a filipina and he likes sinigang and pancit too but hated adobo (told him his missing out lol) :)

Thank God that it wasn't a boring class at all! And I'm also thankful for my co-worker who registered me in that class :) Yay! One down, one to go!

Whining Again

Here I am again, about to whine. I didn’t get the chance to eat lunch because we had the “mandatory” monthly meeting at work. I even had to sneak out in the middle of the meeting coz I had to pick up my son from school. Wew! Okay I’m done :) Ready to move on ehehehehe

Just Tired

I’m tired! It was a very tiring day for me. During my lunch break, I had to pick up my son from school (as I always do) and had to take him to the clinic as he is developing ringworm at the back of his neck. I could have bought an over-the-counter anti-fungal cream at the pharmacy but I’d rather take him to the doctor just to make sure. Then after that, I had to go back to work, which is pretty exhausting as we have 12 babies today. Everyone came! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Okay, enough of my whining… I’m hungry and I’m ready to eat! See you all later!

Home Early

Oooh! It’s good to be home an hour early :) Yep, the parents picked up all our babies earlier than usual coz it’s Friday. I guess they want to be home early too.:) After the last baby was picked up, our nice director did allow us to go home, which I thought was wonderful! Now, I have a little time to spruce up the house, cook some dinner, and watch a little television before hubby comes home :)

Tay, R.I.P.

I know he’s terribly sick, but never expected that this is going to happen this soon. I can feel it when my mother called me a few days ago. I got scared but still having some hopes that the doctor could save him. They did their best but today, April 7th, 2010, My father passed on. :( Tay, rest in peace.

Please

This is not a fun day for me. My mother called and told me that she rushed my father to the hospital coz he had a heart attack again. He’s now into the ICU. He’s conscious my mom said, but he can’t speak anymore and don’t know what’s really going on around him. Please pray for him. Thank you.

Break!

Yay! The day is finally over! Now, I can relax a little bit :) Tomorrow is Good Friday and all I’m going to do is to sit back, eat, surf the internet, eat, watch television (maybe The 10 Commandments :), one of our all time favorite movies during the holy week season :) ) and did I say eat? Lol! Yup! That’s all I’m going to do. No plans of going out (at least not at this point). See yah all later!

P.S. Happy April Fool's Day :P

Holy Week Coming Up!

Man can’t wait for the holy week! I need a break. I love working with babies but sometimes they could really get on my nerves lol! Imagine 10 babies crying all at the same time waahhhhh I want to cry too! It’s like crying is very contagious. Once one baby cry, expect that the others would start crying too. However, I’d rather work with babies than the two or three year old kids. Those kids talk back to their teachers… not good!

Absent

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a good day today. As for me, I called off work again coz I'm terribly sick. The babies in the daycare are giving me all their viruses hu..hu..hu.. Can't blame them. What do they know... All they do is sneeze, cough, and sometimes slab on my face.. waaaahhhhhh! But still love 'em :)

10th Year

I can’t believe that through ups and downs, my husband and I made it to our 10th year anniversary. Wew! It wasn’t easy I must say, but hey, we survived (lol) and hopefully will survive another 10 years ehehehehe

To my hubby, whom unfortunately, never get the chance to read my blog (that’s why I have a nice card for you :p), but still, I wanted to let you know that I love you much, NO MATTER WHAT! (Sorry honey, not in the mood today for some fancy, flowery words ehehehe) I know you get the message :)

5-Day Vacation

Waaahhhh!!! My 5-day vacation is over!!!

Technically, it’s not really a vacation. It’s more of an absent at work for five days. Yes, since Feb. 10 (Wednesday) I called off from work already. The snowstorm was bad so hubby decided that I stay home. I even walked my son to school that day (had to coz they had an important activity that I don’t want him to miss). Anyways, the next day I decided that I’d take the rest of the week off and called work coz my son had pink eye. It was good to take a few days off but it’s bittersweet coz I am not paid for those days. So, back to work tomorrow to earn some moolah! :)

Yay! New Baby!

Goodness gracious! Found out tonight that my friend’s sister just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy! Yay!!! They named him Alexander Rey. Can’t wait to see him. Tomorrow we will be visiting him and the new mom at the hospital. Wow! Another miracle on earth! :) I bet he is a cutie. He is half Filipino, half Latino :)
