Was Busy As A Bee

Hi everyone! I haven't been blogging that much lately. So busy... coz first off, my son got sick, so I had to attend to him... Took him to the doctor last Thursday... Hubby wasn't here so we had to call a cab.. going to the doctor wasn't a problem at all eventhough it was raining hail and snowing at that time. The tough part was when we were getting ready to go home.. I called the cab again to pick us up, the lady said, about 30 minutes... after 30 minutes, called them back to follow-up said please wait another 30 minutes...waited again.. after 30 minutes called them again she said I was next in line... it took them at least another 40 minutes after the cab finally arrived at the hospital lobby... I was so tired of sitting, standing and walking in the waiting area... I was even so hungry coz I didn't eat anything but a few M&Ms from the vending machine (courtesy of kuletz). One of the nurses even approached me and asked me if I needed a ride... I almost said yes... thankfully 15 minutes after she approached me the cab came... I was so relieved. So thankful too coz kuletz didn't whine as much. Friday, I worked my butt off to reach my data entry quota.. then yesterday, I went grocery shopping with my friend. Good thing hubby came in from work, he asked me to leave kuletz with him. After grocery shopping, I just ate dinner and went to bed at 10 p.m. and woke up at 10 a.m. this morning :D Today, I cooked a delish lunch (chopsuey, which I have been craving since I saw the movie Chopsuey starring Piolo Pascual eheheh and a fried Tilapia) Also, I am busy studying two subjects... Rules of the Road and the Civics Lessons. And just when I am finish with this entry, we had a power failure... so I had to re-write part of this freaking entry... What a week!

Hunting ?

Ever tried hunting for a deer, duck, or goose? I haven’t tried that but I heard from my hubby that his dad who happens to love fishing also loves to hunt when he was still living. As per hubby, his dad would prepare all his hunting gears a month before the hunting season. He has everything from his rifle, traps, goggle, ear protection, Hunting Blinds up to his gun case.

Remembering those good times with his daddy, hubby wanted to try hunting again. All he needed to do is to start buying his own hunting accessories so he’ll be ready the next hunting season. And when it comes to hunting recreational products, H&R Business Mall offers high quality, reliable and the best value in the market. They ship factory direct and are reachable 7 days a week. Online ordering is also available. They are always ready when you are.

Update On Kuletz

I am so thankful that he's finally feeling well (he's been playing all day yesterday and today.. couldn't stop him), although after his fever, he started coughing a little bit. And he's got a tiny red spot on his eye (looks like pink eye) I told hubby about it and ask me sched an appointment to his doctor. But his filipina doctor is kinda far, so I looked for another one who's close by. Thankfully, I found another filipino doctor that accepts our insurace and really really close from the house. So after writing this entry, I am gonna call their office to have an appointment.

Photo Greeting Cards

Every year my hubby and I gets greeting cards from our family, relatives and friends. And between the two of us, it is my obligation to acknowledge those. Believe it or not, it is not an easy job (at least for me). I like the cards to be perfect, of course, to really show how we appreciate them remembering us on special occasions. However, I would end up not doing it cause most of the time I get stuck in choosing the Thank You cards. I like something that’s simple yet elegant. Like this one…

Isn’t it lovely? It came from the website that offers Photo Greeting Cards, they also offer Birthdays to Christmases, Thanksgivings, and Valentines’ cards. CardsDirect.com would accommodate you whether you are ordering 25 or 25,000 cards. So it isn’t just perfect for me, but also for those who have businesses that would like to send special greetings to their clients. They have satisfied customers from fortune 100 companies which only means that they offer complete customer satisfaction. Next holiday season or special occasion, feel free to show off, make a statement, send photo greeting cards to someone you love or care about and order it from CardsDirect.com to join among thousands of pleased customers.

Sick, Sick, Sick

I mentioned in one of my previous posts that hubby was off for two weeks, and just when he's getting ready to go back to work, a pestering cold hit him (last Friday... and he has to go back to work Saturday). Poor hubby. He's been calling me and I can hear that he's still sick. Then last Sunday evening, my little one here got a fever and up to this second he's still sick (99.8 at this point, an improvement from last nite)... no cough nor stuffed or runny nose. Just fever. Been giving him Tylenol, soup, lots of water and juice. He still plays a bit eventhough he's a little weak. Hope he feels better very soon... It really worries me a lot when he is sick like this.

The Sedona Method

I watch Oprah show as much as I can, and been hearing her the words a new earth. Just realized that it was a book called A New Earth authored by Eckhart Tolle. Anyways, I just mentioned that because the book compliments the key to lasting happiness, success, peace and emotional well-being called The Sedona Method. One thing that an individual will learn from the said method is how to transcend or surpass your ego.

Some of us probably think that ego is being just being boastful or arrogant. But I have read in some article that it is an invisible shield that you put around yourself to protect you from the outside world and it also comes in different forms. Self critical, being shy and living in a comfort zone, having to control everything and afraid of failing are some forms of ego. Let’s admit, we are guilty of having such. However, we can make a choice whether we would like to take that ego away in our everyday lives and be happy. This is The Sedona Method all about. One way of them continuing to spread the happiness all over the world is by giving away free DVD and CD which you can avail by visiting their website.

Tired And Rushing

I am pretty much tired because hubby and I played with our little one here. We played hide and seek for an hour. Then put together his train tracks over and over again as he keeps messing it up :) We sang... kuletz love to sing the karaoke (my throat hurts now as he didnt wanna sing I am not gonna sing) Then I am rushing because I have an opp to write and it is due in a few minutes... arggg! Laughing Out Loud

If my grandparents are still living and with me right now, I am sure that I am gonna get a good spanking they said we are not supposed to be loud coz Christ is dying. But here I am laughing so hard while watching the Filipino comedy duo called Pork Chop. I just saw it from my friend's collections of DVDs. She did lend it to me two weeks ago and just started watching the movies last night when I saw the Pork Chop DVD. I can't even concentrate to the opp that I am doing coz they are really funny. I have heard some of the jokes but still it made me laugh so hard.

Co-op Education by Kettering

When we are growing up, our parents would always say that finish your schooling first before having a boyfriend or girlfriend. They instill in our minds that education is important. Why is it important? Well, I believe that it enhances or improves an individual’s way of life. It allows a person to be more productive and earn a better living.

But let’s face it. It is not easy to go through school specially in getting a degree cause it costs money. Some will apply for scholarships but still, they’d need money somehow. Other than scholarship, there’s also this co-op education (which I never heard of back in my country).
I think a co-op (short for co-operative) is a process of learning that combines and strengthen a student’s academic and career studies with related, productive and work experience. It’s like a combination of classroom learning and practical experience.

If you are considering applying for a co-op, whether its industrial engineering or any engineering co-op programs, you may wanna try Kettering University. Because not only they were ranked #1 University in the nation (for Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering) by US News and World Report‘s “America‘s Best Colleges Guide for 2008“, they also sends their students to work in their freshman year so they have plenty of time to develop their skills and talents that would increase their value to co-op employer. There’s even more to that, they also offer this three month work terms and three month school terms, which means you can instantly apply what you learn in the classroom on the job. It is a very interesting program that worth checking out for you students out there.

Good Friday

Wow! It's Good Friday already and I haven't even felt any spirit of holy week here. It still feels like winter coz its cold again. brrr! Anyways, I am getting ready to cook spaghetti (no meat, you know why :D) and of course fish.. Can you believe that? Back home, I never heard of spaghetti and fish combo. Only here in my household probably ehehehe My honey's daddy started it I think.

Trusted Tours & Attractions

Back in the fall of 2002 while I was five months preggy with my son, hubby decided to take a little vacation and give his big brother a visit in Pennsylvania. I was very excited cause it’s gonna be my first time in PA, and then they live not so far from Philly. I know there are a lot of things to do in Philadelphia. The one thing that came across my mind is to visit the home of TV shopping, the QVC Studio. Also, take the Deluxe Carriage tour and so as the Victorian Trolley Sightseeing tour.

To make it short, we made it to Pennsylvania. During our first 2 days there, we visited a few tourists attractions in the city where my brother-in-law lives. On our third day, hubby decided to drive instead of bothering his brother. Before heading to Philadelphia, we stopped by to a nearby restaurant cause we wanted to taste the famous Philly Cheese Steak. After that, we went ahead and drove to Philadelphia. At least we tried. I don’t know what went wrong but my hubby’s sense of direction wasn’t right at that time (we didn‘t have a GPS then), cause we kept on circling around to those tiny streets and we still can’t reach downtown Philadelphia. We ran out of gas and everything and were stuck in a small town (can’t remember the name anymore). As the last resort, we had to call his brother and give us the right direction. We ended up going back to the house and did nothing. It was a crazy day, I am telling you. We weren’t able to do the things I wanted to do. Now, we are planning to go back there, probably this summer.

Anyway, if you want to take a vacation whether in the magnificent mile of Chicago or in San Diego zoo or still can’t decide which city to hit, I would suggest you visit the website of Trusted Tours & Attractions, wherein you can’t just get family vacation ideas but a chance to win an Ipod Nano by signing up for the Trusted Travels eNewsletter. But you gotta hurry cause offer ends on Monday, March 31st of 2008.

Advance Happy Easter!

I love painting Easter Eggs with my son. Last week I actually bought him the Easter Egg Painting kit, but unfortunately, I couldn't find the little tablets and stickers anymore. I am sure I know who the crook was ehheeheh whoelse but kuletz!

Anyways, I took this quiz below and I was amazed that the result really fits me :). How about you? What does your Easter Egg Says About You?

Empathy comes easily to you. You are very forgiving.

You don't hold grudges. You easily forget about any negativity in your life.

5th Annual Dark Sky Festival

I grew up in the city of Manila and when I was little, me, my sisters and my cousins would take our summer vacation in the province of Nueva Ecija, where our grandparents live. During that time, there’s not much to do, really. No internets, no video games and other electronic stuff that kids spend so much time nowadays. So our favorite pastime specially at night, is to lay down in our garden and count stars, which you can’t do in the city. Why? Because of the very polluted air, and lots of huge buildings with tons of lights, you can barely see or distinguish the stars. Even here in Illinois, you still can’t do that because at this point its still gloomy all the time and I just heard from the news that it’s gonna be snowing this week.

However, I know a place where you can enjoy night-sky free from the effects of excessive artificial lighting. It will be held on the 5th of April 2008 in Harmony, Florida. It is called the 5th Annual Dark Sky Festival at Harmony. The festival’s goal is to educate people about lighting that help reduce light pollution. Anyways, the festival is free and open to everyone. People will be able to enjoy and view the night skies thru telescopes, enjoy food, music while kids can play in the Cosmic Kids Zone. You can even meet astronomers and scientists. I am sure everybody will have fun. If you want to know more about it, read the press release below.

Press Release:
Get Ready! This Year’s Dark Sky Festival is Out-of-this-World

HARMONY, FL – March 15, 2008 – The 5th Annual Dark Sky Festival at Harmony will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008. Sponsored by the Harmony Institute, the Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau, several astronomy clubs, the Osceola News Gazette and Florida Travel & Life Magazine, the event will kick off at 7pm in Harmony's Town Square.

“The Dark Sky Festival is intended to celebrate and promote the benefits of a night-sky free from the effects of excessive artificial lighting,” said Greg Golgowski, Harmony’s Conservation Director and a key member of the Dark Sky Festival Planning Committee. “Poor outdoor lighting not only washes out the splendor of the heavens, but also reduces visibility at night, wastes energy, and disturbs wildlife.”

As with the past four Dark Sky Festivals, attendees will be able to enjoy viewing the night skies through a variety of telescopes. There also be lots of music and food, numerous specialty booths, an educational zone with presentations from astronomers and other scientists, nocturnal creatures, a Cosmic Kids Zone and so much more.”

Local favorite, the Silver Clouds Orchestra, will start the entertainment portion of the evening at 7:00pm. This will be followed by a free concert by legendary recording artists, Rare Earth.

Rare Earth will take to Harmony’s outdoor amphitheatre stage at 8:00pm for a live concert chock full of their greatest hits including “Get Ready” and “I Just Want to Celebrate.”

“We are ecstatic to have Rare Earth performing at this year’s Festival,” said Shad Tome, president of Harmony Development Group. “We are encouraging everyone to wear comfortable shoes because Rare Earth is known for getting the whole audience up and dancing.”

The festival will be emceed by Magic 107.7’s afternoon drive on-air personality and program director Ken Payne.

The Festival is open to the general public. Over 3,500 people are expected to attend the event this year. The event will conclude around 11:00pm.

This date was selected because it falls on the heels of National Dark Sky week (March 29 – April 4); where people in the United States are encouraged to turn out their unnecessary outdoor lights in order to temporarily reduce light pollution.

For more information, please visit www.DarkSkyFestival.com or call 407-891-8358.

Fantasy Baseball Software

Although I am not a huge sports fan, I see to it that I am updated every season especially about our hometown teams like the Chicago Bulls, Bears, Cubs and of course the White Sox. Talk about baseball, a new season is around the corner. I am sure a lot of you can’t wait for it to start. It would probably excite you more if you are into fantasy baseball. My hubby used to be so into it but he passed it on to his son as he became so busy, now the boy is a huge fantasy baseball enthusiast. I am pretty excited and can’t wait to share with him about the Fantasy Sports Prophet's Fantasy Baseball software, which is probably the best key tool in winning fantasy baseball leagues.

Why am I excited about the software? Cause first off, it is web-based, which means you can access it from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection. Their player rankings are based on Predictive Modeling by PhD scientists, it has the most advanced draft assistance tool, also it has full season roster management that includes updated mid-season projections plus all stats, injury reports and major updates are also available from within the software. With this, winning is surely on your side. You can’t ask for anything more! But they are giving you more, visit fantasysportsprophet.com and avail of their $10 off special by using the promo code BMC200.

Tuesday

It's Tuesday once again people... how is it so far? I am feeling pretty well, although there's a hint of getting a headache. I don't know, maybe I am still just sleepy or my monthly "friend" is comin'.

Anyways, it is another Idol night. I hope Ramiele will sing something that will give chills to our spines. We must admit she has a very good voice, but the song choice doesn't bring that out. We'll see how it goes tonight.

AeroGarden

To some people, gardening is not just a hobby or a job. It is their way of finding tranquility in their lives (a nice flowery garden will do that) or it brings out their creative side, a form of exercise too (digging will sure work up a sweat). And some gets fresh fruits and veggies out of their garden.

Speaking of fresh, how would you like to have fresh herbs, veggies and flowers and pick them anytime you want without breaking a sweat? Well you can with AeroGarden, Indoor Smart Garden. You can grow veggies and herbs even in your kitchen. No experience or green thumb is absolutely needed. To learn more about how you can have your own, visit mysecretpantry.com. Below is a sample of an AeroGarden. Pretty interesting isn't it?

Holy Week ?

I am always so lost when it comes to Holy Week. Coz I don't feel it here. Unlike in PI, you can hear the "pabasa" or "pasyon" in every church (not in Manila maybe, but in the province you sure can hear them). I did't even know that it is Easter this coming Sunday if my mother didn't tell me. Geez! I feel like I am from outer space eheheehe

Local Mortgage Rates

Are you planning to buy a house, manufactured homes, even used mobile homes? According to news on television, this is a good time to buy one because the rates are low. I have recently checked the Illinois mortgage rates particulary Calumet City mortgage rates and it’s looking pretty good. Mortgage rates differs from state to state, so what you can do is drop by at your nearest bank or mortgage companies that can give you a lot of info about the mortgage rates in your area, Their customer service representative can also give you more information from home mortgages loans, mortgage refinancing, mobile home loans, real estate to home equity loan.

Update Update!

Hey everyone! It took me a while to update my blog, just a bit busy spending time with hubby :) Nways, last Friday, I mentioned that we are goin to my fave store.. I was driving that night and I got so scared coz I thought hubby will be in a fight with a mexican guy. What happened was, I was at a stop sign (still in our street) waiting for the street to get clear before I make my turn to the main street. However, this very impatient van behind me keeps blowing his horn. At first, we just ignored it, but he kept blowing his horn a few more times. Hubby told me to put the car in park, and when he got off, the van just took off in a hurry! I got scared coz I knew the mexican guy is in a big trouble... thankfully he took off wew!

Be Aware

I have been getting a lot of jokes on my email and some of them are real funny… this oyster joke is based on some of it…

Divorced Father oyster talking to his oyster son…

Father Oyster: Son, when you get home, give this check to your mom, tell her that this is gonna be the last check for oyster child support as you are 18 years old already. Then let me know the expression on her face.

Son got home…

Son Oyster: Mom, dad wants me to give you this check and wants you to know that this is gonna be the last check since I am 18 already. Then he wants me to look at your face and see your expression.

Mom Oyster: Son, next time you visit your dad, tell him thanks very much for the support even though YOU ARE NOT HIS SON… Then let me know the expression on his face!

Speaking of oysters, according to the website beoysteraware.com, while these mollusks are not a serious threat to healthy individuals, it can be, to those who are at-risks. Some of them are people with liver disease, diabetes or weak immune system. They should avoid eating raw oysters. But did you know that Gulf oysters give low calorie protein and a great source of zinc and so as B-12 and omega-3 fatty acids? Yes they are, but it can also cause serious illness or even death because of Vibrio vulnificus. Beoysteraware.com is dedicated to educating the oyster consuming public. Visit their website and know more if you are one of those at-risk consumers. Learn what exactly is Vibrio Vulnificus and get some delicious oyster recipes too!

Zero, Zero

I have been getting zero opps lately, as I am not spending too much time in front of my computer. I didn't even have time in updating my blogs... I was able to do a little blog hopping though... Anyways, I have a good reason naman...Hubby is off from work for one week so, I see to it that I spend time with my two boys rather than being on the computer. This doesn't happen often so, I would like to savor every minute of it :) But today, while he is sleeping I was able to snatched one :) yippee!! :D

Trick or Treat!

It is sort of a tradition between me and my friend to shop for Halloween Costume just the day after halloween cause all the costumes are on sale. But sometimes, when our kids are ready to use it for the next trick or treat, it’s either it doesn’t fit anymore or it is still too big. So I told my friend that this year, instead of shopping after October 31st, we’ll just wait at least a month before the next Halloween and just shop online through incostume.com. Yes they are more focused on Halloween Costumes but they also have something for St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Christmas and other occassions. They have everything for kids, teens and adults too. Hats, wigs, masks and accessories are also available all year round!

Just Got Back

I had an appointment with my oral surgeon today and we just got back. They did nothing but have my mouth x-rayed and have the surgeon check which teeth are needed to be pulled. Neither of my teeth is aching but some of them are too sensitive from hot or cold beverages. For now, I am still thinking of what I want for them to do... have 3 teeth extracted at once or have it removed one at a time. Actually, I don't want any of it removed but it is necessesary. I don't want to procrastinate coz I am sure it will cause more problem if I do. :( sigh... those freaking candies! argg!

Insurance Portal

In minds of a lot of people, they are getting car insurance because it is something they needed to have in order for their car to be registered and or is required by law. More often than not, people will call insurance companies and would get the cheapest insurance they could get. However, some experts says that getting the cheapest insurance coverage may not always be the best thing to have. Nor, having something you cannot afford isn’t any better.

Since not all drivers are alike (such us in age, driving habits and skills, mindset and of course monthly income), how do we determine which is the best car insurance for us? I really am not sure, but according to EZ Insurance Portal website, there are six types of coverage that we can receive. These are the following: Collision, Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Personal Injury Protection, Uninsured Coverage and Comprehensive. I have also read that if your driving record is not as clean as a weasel, your premium is more likely to be higher.

Anyways, if you would like to know more of which insurance is for you and would like to get a quote, just visit ez-insuranceportal.com. You can get a real-time quotes from the nation’s best insurance providers by using their quick quote center.

Why Is That?

Around 10:40 p.m. I was able to grab a 11.00 opp from PPP, however, I was so sleepy and I know I won't be able to write anything right there and then. So I decided to take a quick nap since I know I have six hours to complete the opp. At around 1 a.m. I woke up and refreshed my PPP page and to my surprise the opp that I reserved isn't in the list anymore! Duh! This has happened to me three times already (oh make it four). I dont' know why... was it because my real rank changed (it was before midnite when I reserved it, so you know RR will change after midnite) after I reserve the opp? I have no idea why.. If I wasn't too sleepy, I would have done that and won't be fussy about it. :(

Credit Card Talk

Did you apply online for a credit card? How did you get yours? As for me, I received a pre-approval in the mail, then filled-up the form online. It took me only 60 seconds to get the approval and a week to get the actual card. It did give me some advantages, for example, I didn’t have to take cash or check with me all the time and it comes in handy during emergencies (one sample is when my debit card was declined even though I have enough fund in it). It also helped build my credit history.

Before I went ahead and applied for my first credit card, I already did a little shopping. I compared credit cards (here in the U.S, UK, Ireland and even credit cards in Asia) from their percentage in balance transfers, APRs, their estimated interests and of course, the measures they take in fraud protection and security.

So far I am happy with my credit card, I don’t use it that much but if I do, I made sure to pay it on time to avoid being charged with late fees.

Office Furniture

It’s been a few months since we moved to this house but I still haven’t had the chance to really set-up an office cause one of the rooms are still filled with an unopened boxes. I actually am using a card table as my desk right now. It isn’t a good one cause its pretty wobbly. And it gets much more wobbly when my son is playing on it while I am working. We left my office desk in the old house because its a bit huge to put in in this house (cause this house isn’t as big as the old house).

So anyway, if you’d ask me if I need a new personal desk? My answer is absolutely! I am ready to set up a home office that I could fill with new office furniture. I have read an article that getting a 25mm thick desk top with double upstand legs and has 2mm thick edging is more beneficiary compared to most desks that has 18mm thick tops and 0.6 mm thick edging only. But where can you find such office desks? Intercounty.com has it! They also have office storage (filing cabinets, safes, metal lockers) office chairs, classroom furniture, bistro furniture and more! Their desks starts from only £53. Sounds very reasonable to me considering the great quality. Check it out!

I Can't Believe It !

I just couldn't believe that it's happening again. Its been a week and I still hasn't get my data entry check... This is very unusual of them. Since I joined them in 2006, I only had one check late (as they changed their check's signatory) and one check missing (post office's fault). I really am wondering what's goin on. Hope it would come this Monday, it's not a lot, but still money... grocery money for that matter :)

As a stay-at-home mom, I am always on the lookout for something that would help nourish my brain and of course those that would earn me extra money.

My latest find for good reading is InvestorBlogger Dot Com. This website has a tremendous amount of information, tips and ideas that are very useful for people who’s into blogging (like me) and making real money online. I spent quite a while reading posts specially this topic - -> PageRank: an intro, making money with PR, and recent controversy. Very interesting, because I myself have been so intrigued on how this PR thing works. I also got the chance to watch a video about the why and the wherefore of blogging.

I was so engrossed reading some of the posts and lost track of time. Need to prepare dinner, however, I will be back later on to do some more reading. Why not join me by visiting InvestorBlogger Dot Com, cause I am sure there are articles there that would interest you.

Goodness !

I was chatting with Ms.Juls earlier when my little kuletz is bugging me about finding his ugly little car. As usual, he can't remember where he last put it. I am not so happy about it because he won's stop whining till we find it. The last time he misplaced it, it took us all night and half day before he found and, and honestly, I didn't even know where it was. He's the one who found it ehehehe

Flightdeck CRM System

As a consumer, I’d like to deal with businesses that is very good in understanding and meeting my needs. This way they can easily persuade me or their other clients into doing business with them more effectively. This would also help their business in gaining more customers and retaining their existing ones. Having a good customer relationship will increase their revenue as well. But how does a company develop a strong relationship with their clients? Many uses a strategy called CRM or Customer Relationship Management.

Most people think (I for one) when they hear CRM that it is some kind of software. According to this website flightdeckcrm.co.uk (which by the way, I checked and would probably give them a B for explaining what really CRM is, and how easy to navigate their site was), CRM is not a software and that in my perception, it is a strategic process that would help better understand the clients’ needs and improve customer loyalty which would increase profit of the company. Moreover, they developed a highly effective, powerful business management software systems that is tailored to suit your business’ needs and which they called Flightdeck. To read more about the system, visit them at flightdeckcrm.co.uk.

Last Night

Last night at around 7:40, I was on my computer doing some blog hopping and watching the American Idol results, when all of a sudden I lost my cable connection, then naturally my internet and phone line went dead too (we're in a bundle account). So I called my ISP and told me that they couldn't see any problem in my area and if I want, they will be sending someone the next day (which is supposed to be today). I said ok, coz I can't do anything about it anyway. Then I decided to ask my son to put up all his toys and while doing that, the lights went off.

Thankfully, my son isn't afraid of the dark, though he called me a few times, just to probably know where exactly I am standing coz it's really pretty dark. I had my cellphone with me so I used it as a flashlight. When I got my real flashlight, I went downstairs, looked out the window to see if it's the entire neighborhood. I was a bit shocked coz our neighbors (accross the street) have their lights on and are enjoying their t.v.s (yes I can see it coz their windows are wide open ehehehe). So, I immediately thought, is it just us?!? I felt relieved when I looked at the back of the house and it was pretty dark.. meaning they don't have electricity either.. wew! I called COMED and reported the outtage. It was automated but they told me what time it's gonna be restored (geez! it was past 8 when I called and they said the estimated time of restoration is not until 10:30) arrghg!

Missed everything from American Idol to Survivor tsk! It was pretty irritating when the power went on, coz I was watching my cable t.v. and it keeps dying on me... at least 5-7 times. Anyways, when it got stable, I was able to talk to my 2nd year high school classmate on YM :) We talked for over 2 hours...that was my night pretty much.. I went to bed at 8:30 in the morning... no kidding at all... then up at 10:30a.m. (so pardon me if my grammar sucks or if I have mispelled a few words eheheh)... and I look like a zombie again!

Easy Online Payday Loan

Every once in a while, we would find ourselves in a brink of a difficult situation which money is needed. Say for example, unexpected bills, disaster in the kitchen (faucet broke and the water is shooting up in the air, which happened in this house twice), your car broke and needs an immediate fixing. These are just a few things that’s not in your normal budget but could happen when you’re least expecting it.

One popular and great way to obtain the immediate cash you need is what we call payday loan. A payday loan is a short-term loan that would cover your expenses. But before you choose a company, be sure to shop around first. Search the internet thoroughly and find out who gives the best rate, what are their terms and conditions and make sure they have reputable credentials.

Easyonlinepaydayloan.com is one you can consider looking at if you find yourself short in cash and in an unwanted situation. They will help find the best possible lender for you. You can apply by filling out their online form, wherein you will receive an approval shortly after. The only requirement they’d ask from you is that you are 18 years of age and at least making a $1000 a month. That simple and hassle free.

Why Women Lie

This is a forwarded email from one of my former bosses. Ms. RRB, once again, thanks for the email.

I haven't read forwarded emails like this in a while. Busy doing other "non-sense stuff" :D Anyways, I find this one cute and funny... If I were in the seamstress's shoes, I'd settle for George Clooney too ehehehe Why? Coz I don't want Ms. Juliana PITT-bull to kill me :D

**********~~~~~~~~~~********** ~~~~~~~~~~**********

One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, "My dear child, why are you crying?" The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family.

The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with sapphires.

"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked The seamstress replied, "No."
The Lord again dipped into the river. He held out a golden thimble studded with rubies.

"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked. Again, the seamstress replied, "No."
The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble.

"Is this your thimble ?" the Lord asked. The seamstress replied, "Yes." The Lord was pleased with the woman's honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy.

Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water. When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, "Why are you crying?" "Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!"

The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney. "Is this your husband?" the Lord asked.

"Yes," cried the seamstress. The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!" The seamstress replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding. You see, if I had said 'no' to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt.

Then if I said 'no' to him, you would have come up with my husband. Had I then said 'yes,' you would have given me all three. Lord, I'm not in the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT'S why I said 'yes' to George Clooney.

And so the Lord let her keep him.

The moral of this story is:

Whenever a woman lies, it's for a good and honorable reason, and in the best interest of others. That's our story, and we're sticking to it.

Signed,

All Us Women

Web Hosting

Believe it or not I have read a lot of not so good things about some web hosting companies that do not meet their clients’ expectations. I am not technically inclined so if I have a website how can I manage it? Most would of course be looking for a web hosting company. But what exactly are the points that we need to consider in looking for a web host ? For me, price is number one, then the reliability. There are tons of web hosting sites out there though. It would take you a long time to research and review each one. If you don’t wanna go through all that hassle, then WebHostingBluebook.net can help you. They can guide you in finding top quality web hosting services. They do web review and rank web hosting sites according to affordability, reliability, features, control panel, ease of use and of course customer support. Visit their website to read their reviews of the best of the best web hosting companies.

Another Lazy Day

I went to bed at 5 this morning, then woke up at 8:30 because my kuletz here woke up. For Pete's sake! He used to wake up at 11 a.m.! But anyways, I can't do anything about it so I just got up too and got him straight.. gave him a little breakfast then sat on my computer. Did a little data entry but after an hour my head is so freaking heavy that I feel like I needed to go back to bed. So I did, fell asleep for 30 minutes and then hubby called and said "hey honey! happy anniversary!", I said, what?!?!! He repeatedly said, happy anniversary honey... you forgot we have two anniversaries... I smiled and said, oh yeah... I forgot that we do celebrate our anniversary for two days... why? Because we really got married on the 5th of March, but on our marriage cert is the 6th... why again? It's a long story eheheh.. Technicality issues :D I will leave it at that :)

High Speed For Life

Before, you can just access internet through a dial-up connection. Nowadays, they have DSL, Cable, Satellite and wireless connection which is probably 5 times faster than a dial-up. You can download in a flash your favorite music, videos, movies. You can receive digital pictures and large email attachments in a heartbeat. Dial-up connection is now a history. However, getting a high-speed internet is a bit pricey, but surely more reliable than a dial-up connection. One question though, how would you like to set the amount of money you pay on your high speed internet for life? Here’s your chance, Charter is giving you the opportunity to bid on receiving high-speed internet for life. All you need to do to qualify in bidding is to check if you are in their serviceable are (by zip code), then if you are, you can register. The bidding starts at $10 and the auction begins on March 12, 2008. You can check the complete details and rules through this link http://connect.charter.com/ForLife/.

My Wednesday

Today is a pretty busy day for me. I set the alarm at 8:30, but when it rang, I just hit the snooze button (as always) and fell back asleep... woke up at around 12:00 p.m. I was pretty upset coz I wanted to go to the bank early...I lazily got up, got ready and same with Kuletz. Called the cab (took them about 45 minutes to get me)... Thankfully, I was able to make it to the bank before it closed, then ask the cab to drop me off at Ultra Foods (need to do some grocery shopping). To make it short, I got there and back with no fuzz at all. Now, I am here watching my friend's daughter. She'll be staying here for a little while. Anyways, I gotta go back to work. I haven't had the chance to do anything today. I need to hurry up and make some moolah before the day ends. Later guys! Oh busy day.. miss my hubby... its our 8th year wedding anniversary today.
AND THE BEST FRUSTRATING GIFT EVER IS WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT MY PR WENT BACK TO ZERO AGAIN. IT WENT UP TO 3 ON THE 29TH OF FEBRUARY AND A FEW MINUTES AGO IT WENT DOWN TO ZERO!! YOU CAN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT!!! :(

Business Loans

Most people go to a financial institutions to borrow some money whether its for their homes or cars or even for tuition fees. But as they say, individual consumers is not the only one who needs loans. Businesses borrow money too to fund everything from starting up a business or just by moving to a new location. Business Loans has certain types. There’s equipment loans, credit lines and real estate loans. One website that is expert in funding your business is called EZUnsecured.com. They offer easy process, fast funding and excellent service to business owners and entrepreneurs in getting the financial help that they need. You can apply payday loan online or by simply calling them.

He Was Pissed

Hubby just called me and he was pretty pissed to someone (whom I can't mention ehehehe) But he really is still pissed. My hubby is waiting for an important document and this certain guy said last week the he had mailed it already. So hubby has been waiting for it. Everyday, he'd call me and ask me if it's here. I said I am not getting anything yet. Today, he finally called the guy, and the guy said, that he's on his way to the post office and getting ready to mail it. Duh!?!! He said he mailed it already, that is why I am waiting for it like crazy! On to of that, he said, he'll call my hubby in an hour and guess what? He did not get any call.. It is just so irresponsible of him considering that hubby is their client.

Insurance Talk

Insurance specially in some third world country, isn’t as popular as here in the states. However, I do believe that having an insurance is extremely important nowadays, specially the basic ones, like car insurance, health insurance and dental insurance (which I just called earlier as I needed to see my dentist again). But why exactly do we need one? First off, having health insurance, for example, will come in handy when you or any of your family member get sick. They will help you cover hospital costs and other medical expenses that is covered by your policy. Auto Insurance will help you shoulder any damage or injury in case you are involved in an accident.

There are also insurance other than the basics, in my opinion, that is worth considering. Education Funds for one. I say it is worth getting because this will make sure that your child or children will have an education opportunities whether you live or die (God forbid). Let’s face it, we don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow. Pension and Retirement plan is also good to have.

On the lighter note, travel insurance, Courier Insurance, bike insurance or even pet insurance is also out there for you to consider. Check out autoinsurance.co.uk to get a quick quote of some unbeatable insurance rates.

A Tag From Ms. Juls

This is a tagged from Ms. Juliana. It its called "8 FACTS ABOUT MYSELF". I'd share 8 things that you don't know about me... 8 weird things.. these are facts.. but weird ehehehe.

Here it goes:

*****************

In the 8 facts about yourself, you share 8 things that your readers don't know about you. Then at the end you tag at least 8 other bloggers to keep the fun going. Here are the rules.

RULES:

* Each blogger must post these rules first.
* Each blogger starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
* Bloggers that are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post
these rules.
* At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
* Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

*****************
Weird but facts...

1. I have a habit of picking my navel (it used to be biting my fingernails :D) I don't know why though. I do it mostly when I'm watching t.v.

2. I read tagalog pocketbooks in the bathroom (I think I got that from my uncles/aunts who likes to read newspapers in the bathroom eheehehe) Sometimes I wouldn't get out till I'm done reading.

3. I like to stick my feet in the pillow case (with pillow in it ofcourse :D) then put it under the cover (blanket)

4. I eat french fries dipped in chocolate sundae (not weird for us, but hubby said that is so weird of me)

5. I use the television as my night light :D (Hubby didn't know that ehehehe)

6. I also have a habit of biting my lips till it bleeds (sounds like a vampire)
I do this often when I am reading something on the computer.

On more serious side...

7. When I was younger, I was dreaming of becoming a teacher or a nurse. I still have the urge but I don't know if I want to go through the long studying process again.

8. I took care of my grandfather when he got sick back in 1994 (I resigned from my job just to be with him 24/7, most neighbors in the province often mistaken me as a nurse, coz they said I am so caring naks! :)) Love him so much!! No offense to my father, but I wish lolo is my father. I also took care of my grandmother, this was the time when I am getting ready to be with hubby here in the states. I am so glad I had that chance... lolo passed away on july 24, 1994, lola passed away on july 24, 2003.

News On Loans

Because of its flexibility, secured loans are predicted to grow and become more and more popular to people. What is a secured loan? I believe it is some kind of collateral that you provide to the lender to cover the amount of the loan that you are borrowing. Security of some sort on the lender’s part if you will. It is said to be favorable for homeowners who have been denied a personal loan or those who wanted to borrow a bit more loan amount. Secured Loans has advantages and one of those is that it is quick to arrange.

Anyways, according to one news article in the website magicloans.co.uk, it doesn’t matter what kind of loan you are getting homeowner loans have increased its numbers last January of 2008. Moreover, 74,000 loans were approved for house purchase in the past month, while 119,000 were issued for remortgaging. Actually, I wasn’t surprised at all cause I have been hearing in the news that the annual percentage rate is down so home buyers are taking advantage of it.

If you want to read news about home loans, property investments or interest rates and more, simply visit the website magicloans.co.uk.

Made Me Nervous

Let me take some deep breath a little bit more... This blog made me nervous, coz earlier I was just blog hopping, trying to do my thing, when all of a sudden I couldn't open my site...I keep getting an error saying "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and I couldn't connect to the DNS server ek-ek... Geez! I tried So I called 1&1 (at first I couldn't talk to live operator coz it says that their office hour is this and that... I was a bit frustrated coz I read that they give 24/7technical support... after a while I called again, luckily, I was able to get a hold of someone. He checked the problem and asked me to wait at least an hour or so because he will be refreshing the... whatever it is he wants to refresh :D... So I waited.. and waited.. after 30 minutes I couldn't wait no more so I checked and voila! It's working fine again :D ehehhe It scared me a bit ofcourse, you all know that some of the posts here are paid and one of the requirements is that it should be accessible anytime. wew! That's all :D

Cheap Phone Cards

Just when I thought I was saving tons of money in making international calls using my current phone company, but I was wrong. I am paying 16 cents a minute to call my family back home in the Philippines. I thought it was a good deal until I found PhonecardsAvenue.com. I saw that their rate is way lower compared to what I am using now. Imagine, when I buy one of their cheap phone cards, I will save a lot. Say for example, I bought a $10 (192 minutes which would equal to over 3 hours of talk time) worth of phone card, I’d only pay 4.9 cents/min. to call a landline and 5.2 cents/min to call a cellular phone. Isn’t that way cheaper than 16 cents? Plus, they recently introduced a 3% cash back rebate which will save me even more money, specially during the holidays as I call every aunts, uncles and cousins of mine. What an awesome deal! I sure will recommend this to my friends.

No Check

I am a bit upset because I didn't get my data entry check today. It usually comes on Saturdays... Mondays the least, but I didn't get it... I wonder why. I know it wasn't lost in the mail because one of my friends did not get hers either. Hopefully it's gonna be here tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers.

Domain Registration

More and more bloggers are having their free web hosts blogs converted to custom domains. They are seeing the importance of getting their own domain specially if they are using their blogs for monetary purposes. But the question is, where do you get a cheap domain registration service online? Or if you already have one, are you satisfied with it or are you paying too much?

To answer these questions, I believe that one of your best options is Payless Domains. They offer domain registration, domain transfer, renewals, and web hosting. With every registered domain, you get 24/7 customer support, free email hosting, URL forwarding, domain name parking, management tools and more. They offer special discounts when you register a domain for two years or more. It can’t get any better than that. If you are interested in having your own domain, visit them at paylessdomains.com.au. Also, check out their domain registration prices and so as their web hosting packages for comparison.

His Drawings

I have been wanting to post some of my son's drawings but I never got the chance to take a picture till this afternoon. So here it is.. you might recognize some but the others, well you just have to guess ehehehe... hint..hint.. there's an airplane there, an apple, a cup and a car (which u can probably recognize)... the cartoon character Arthur is also there...a heart and a terrible pumpkin..moon and stars ehehehe... just use your imagination ehehehe

Bad Credit?

People who has bad credit often think that they won’t be able to get another credit to help them move forward. But I have read in one article that it is not always the case because creditors do set their own credit-granting standards and not all of them look at your credit history the same way. So don’t despair if you are one of those people who want to avail some kind of Car Loans but think they can’t because of poor credit standing. Loans for Bad Credit is what Complete Loan Source specializes. They offer fast, easy and very little of your time and effort in order to get approved whether it is for a car loan or personal loan, they are the place to be. Apply online and get the result in minutes!

On Our Anniversary

Our wedding anniversary is not until the 5th of this month, but since hubby is not gonna be here, we decided to open and read our anniversary cards... He gave me to so here's what he says on the first one...

The Card Says,

On Our Anniversary...

There are times when I fail to do or say the thoughtful things I might...
There are times when I take the wonderful things you do for granted... There are times when I don't show you how important our marriage is to me... Yet, I hope that somehow you will always know I am so very grateful for your love and you... Happy Anniversary - This one made me cry :D

Love you much,
M

His Personal Message says...

"Love You Honey! Eight years of togetherness...beautiful son, beautiful wife... this is one of my lucky numbers... Thank you for your love and support and just for being a loving wife...Happy Anniversary, Honey" - This one made me smile ehehehe

Nouveau Riche University, a college that teaches the basics as well as the advanced strategies in the real estate investment business, which is also has been committed to teaching adults the way to create wealth was recently featured in the nationally distributed “Your Business At Home Magazine” in their January 2008 issue. It also features profiles of some of the Riche University students and their testimonials. Read articles from the expert authors like Suze Orman (my fave), Tom Hopkins and Sharon Lechter. Grab one now from your nearest newsstands or bookstores like Barnes & Nobles and Borders before they are all gone!

What Is With Them?

Is it holiday today? I don't think it is... USPS is kinda irritating me coz their mailman always comes late.. there's one time that our mail came at 9 in the evening! I know being a mailman/woman is hard work but geez! USPS needs to hire more people in order for them to deliver the mails on time. According to survey, Chicago is one of the worst cities when it comes to mail delivery.

Holland America Cruise

My sister who has been working for Holland America cruise line has been trying to convince me to take one of their cruises because she said, the places they go to are absolutely awesome! She’s recommending cruises to Alaska, the Mexican Riviera or Hawaii (of course, onboard the cruise ship where she‘s working).

I have always wanted to visit those places but, before we can go to a big trip like that, budget is a must. But website like TravelStoreUSA.com and CruiseLocators.com will be a tremendous help. Why? Simply because they have been helping travelers get exclusive offers and special savings on tour packages and cruises. Their travel experts will help you handle all the arrangements from start to finish (whether its honeymoon cruise, adventure travel or luxury travel like Hawaii vacations or Mexico vacations). They have access to the best promotions there is in the market. So what are you waiting for? Next time you want to go to a nice vacation, keep Travel Store, Inc. in mind.

My Sunday

It was 50 degrees today but we did not do anything. We didn't go somewhere to enjoy the weather. I slept all day.. hubby was asking me what made me so sleepy.. I said, I don't know... I just couldn't seem to open my eyes...But I guess that's good.. I had the chance to sleep which doesn't happen so often. Tomorrow is another day, a start of a new week. Hope your Sunday was a great one!

Window Blinds

I have probably mentioned in my past posts that I am not a very handy person. That is why a week ago when our Window Blinds fell off, I have to ask my mom-in-law (hubby isn’t here to do it for me) in helping me putting it back up. However, no matter what we do, we can’t put it back, I can’t explain why. So what we did is we measured the window and went to the closest store. When we got back, we try to put up the new window blinds but unfortunately, the size isn’t right. I measured it incorrectly.

If I only knew about SelectBlinds.com I should have not went through that kind of disaster. The site has an instruction on how to measure the window either for blinds or shades and how to install it. And honestly I am surprised to know that they are the supplier of window coverings in the famous t.v. show Extreme Makeover: The Home Edition. No wonder the window covers are always beautiful. I like their bamboo shades and bamboo blinds. I am thinking of getting a few for our windows. I heard that bamboos are durable, so I guess this would last for a very long time. If you too are interested, just visit them at SelectBlinds.com.

A Little Chat

I had a little chat with Aling Tikya today. It's not our usual chat coz we used the webcam and calling feature of YM :) She saw my Kuletz who is not so camera shy ehehehe. He loves to see himself on the computer screen. He kept on showing Aling Tikya all his drawings. :) That's what he did also the other day when I was chatting with my cousin who's in PI. My son is getting bigger and bigger wew! He's also playing with my rubiks cube now and he can pretty much solve, I meant almost solve :D, the darn puzzle (he is still missing three colors... who knows a few turns here and there he might solve it) :) How time flies! OK, ok, I am talking non-sense here ehehehe...

Firenze Jewels

When you say high-end jewelry, the first thing that comes to someone’s mind specially women, is the store that sells the “blue box”. I know ladies, you know which one I am talking about. I won’t argue about that. They are one of the famous stores that sells elegant and very expensive jewelries (e.g. diamond wedding rings and so as loose diamonds). Women would love to get their engagement ring or diamond wedding band on that particular store.

However, the “blue box” isn’t the only store that sells high-end, high quality and elegant pieces of jewelry in this planet. There are others out there who has also been in the business for a very long time and has good reputations with so many satisfied customers. One of them for example is Firenze Jewels. If you would look at their website, you will see that they have the same look of jewelries that you can find in the famous store that I am talking about. That one that particularly caught my attention is the picture on their homepage. The diamond rings are absolutely gorgeous! Their collection of jewelries are all beautiful. I spent a long time looking at their earrings collections and diamond wedding bands (looking for one, cause my wedding anniversary is coming in a few days).

Anyways, I know a lot of you my lady friends are interested, so have a feast and take a look at some of their collections below.

While They Are Busy

While my two boys here are busy, I sneaked up for a little bit. I have a few opps to write so here I am :D Hubby put my kuletz in the tub to play with his boat for a while. I hate doing that coz I don't feel like cleaning the tub afterwards ehehehe Anyways, I gotta get going, before they call me up and ask me to join them :D

Looking For Apartments?

My friend who is a caregiver and lives close by is looking for an apartment at this point because the lady that she has been taking care of for so many years has passed away. By the way, she is a live-in caregiver. However, I can’t tell her where to start looking because I have never looked for an apartment before. She said she have looked from local newspapers but she didn’t find anything that caught her interest. I mentioned her situation to one of my good friends, who lives in the North side of Chicago and she suggested apartmentfinder.com. According to her, that’s what her older sister used when they were looking for Nashville Apartments.

Using the website is a breeze. Although they have a few ads, it is not as annoying as in the other websites. Most ads are probably useful to people who are looking for an apartment. Like ads of movers and checking credit score. Other than that it is pleasing and well organized. You can start by using their Apartments Locator. They have resources for every apartment which includes information about the area and their maps. Also, they have photos, floor plans and would list all the features and amenities and so as the policies of the apartment that you are interested in. So next time, if you are looking for an apartment, why not give it a try.

Something Stupid

Oh please don't ask me what stupid thing I did ehehehe Anyways, just wanted to say happy weekend! This Sunday it's gonna be 50 degrees here, so we are all looking forward to it. We'd probably go out somewhere... though it depends on my hubby...if he feels like going out, fine.. but if he's too tired, staying at home is okay as well. :) Again, happy weekend everyone!
