Training Time!

I was 18 years old when I got my Associates Degree in Secretarial Administration. I was planning to continue to getting my bachelors degree but due to financial constraints, I was forced to work and set aside schooling. I was young and so inexperience when I got my first job as an Assistant Secretary / Computer Operator in a trade test and training center back home. I can still remember how hard it is for me as I had to learn everything on my own. It’s like they just gave me all the ropes and I had to tie it all by myself. Thankfully, I survived and lasted 4 years working for them.

With four years experience I thought It would be easier getting a new job. Well, I’d say it was for me as one of my mom’s friends recommended me to a very stable and bigger company. After going through series of tests, I finally passed and got in. This time, the biggest challenge is dealing with so many co-workers. I had to deal with at least 50 other employees excluding the company’s clients. Just like in my previous job, I didn’t get any training at all. They gave me an overview on how the company works though, but that’s about it. As a result, I was screamed at by so many people. It took me a good week or two to finally learn the ins and outs of the company. I worked 5 years for them when I resigned and got married.
