Give Love - Christmas For Payatas

We all know that Christmas is the time of the year wherein we give and share the most. This holiday season; please extend your kindness to the unfortunate ones by donating to Christmas For Payatas project any amount you can. Your generosity will be a part of the project that would provide education to at least 25,000 kids, grant livelihood and skills training to 100,000 families, and they are hoping to provide shelter too. Please read the press release below to learn more about this great cause or visit their website and watch the video for you to see where your generosity will land.

Press Release:

The landfill in Payatas, The Philippines, is notoriously known the world over as Smokey Mountain. For over 35 years, the smoking dump site has grown to become a stark and heart-tugging reminder of the desperate onditions of humanity.

On a daily basis, children pick through newly arrived garbage to
collect material to sell. The earnings made by one child are not enough to even buy food for the day. Hence, entire families are forced to climb the mountain each day, hoping to earn enough to feed everyone. Children as young as four years old are forced to work in this daily struggle for survival.

In response to the plight of these children, Totedaddy.com is working with Lighthouse Center For Children Foundation to bring a little cheer to the children this Christmas.

Totedaddy.com has kicked off with a cash sponsorship of USD 10,000 to enable the children to celebrate Christmas. FusionExcel International has also pitched in a USD 5,000 in cash sponsorship. The money raised
will help fund the projects already in place, and help fund additional projects aimed at providing better housing, and a means of livelihood for the Payatas community.

It is hoped that by creating better awareness to the plight of these children, more support can be garnered towards their betterment. Together we can bury poverty!

Hi,We looked all over to find out who was helped with the $81,000 plus that was collected as the site said for the poor children near the garbage dump. Later we heard it was also for other programs not near the dump (Although that was not advertised at first)
Any way, we wnt to the pre-school which is also part of this and found out they don't have a principal and there has been no electricity for three months. Now I am at a profound loss. $81,000+ raised and these babies need to grope in the dark at school? Also I was told that the money also went to the feeding program there but that can't be because the Rotary Club has been supplying the food.
Many politicians were at the photo shoot and many good hearted stars and common people gave their hard earned money so why is there no electric at the school and why do the areas Pastor's say they have received nothing of the funds. The Lighthouse website on the Tote Daddy site has been cancelled. No one answers phones and I can not get an answer. Please, help SAVE PAYATAS: http://www.savepayatas.com
